He seems to have held up better, but he was matched up with a guy who didn’t incorporate a lot of spin moves/hands.

Does anyone have insight into the OL tinkering that’s taking place?

UGA is huge inside so maybe you play someone like George at guard this week. and use Ekiyor at C

He's (George) big and strong and moves well, just not well enough to deal with speed rushers at RT. I think we just have to hold our noses and live with Owens at RT.

I'm just afraid the centers we have are going to get mauled because they aren't very big.

There are multiple people on this board who do that crap. Their names are on the back of their jerseys and the media guide can be downloaded. It's not that difficult to know their names.

The good news is that Jordan Davis is not a 3 down player. I hope that the plan is to play fast, we don't have to get the play off fast, but get step up fast so they sub for him.

I don't think their big guys can hold up for long if we keep them on the field and don't allow subs. I keep thinking about when we had those monsters on the DL who couldn't maintain out there on the field for long drives and other teams started playing fast against us.

I think the Ekiyor at center ship sailed two years ago. If he was a viable center option, he wouldn’t be behind Dalcourt, and McLaughlin.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he too has snapping issues

I do think it’s an intriguing idea to beef up the interior against Davis. Really depends on how much of the run game factors into the gameplan. My biggest concern with George’s guard is how good is he at identifying and picking up stunts and blitzes. We can expect Kirby/Lanning to blitz a ton. Doesn’t really help to have a bigger guy in the middle if he’s just going to attempt to block the wrong man

Do you think they are going to blitz a lot? They really haven't done it a lot this year and Kirby didn't do it a lot when he was DC here.

GA's secondary is their weak link on defense, I'm sure he will want to leave them exposed by blitzing a lot. Then again, I could be wrong!

If they don’t blitz out the gate and Bryce has decent success early, yes I expect them to blitz as pressure has been the de facto gameplan for disrupting our offense.

If they are getting to Bryce with only bringing 3-4, no I don’t believe we should expect them to fix what isn’t broken

Nope
He was RG on several plays…and got badly blown up on Bama’s 4th & 1 failure.

Unless you gotta link(because I do), this isn't true.

Only guy who went in at RG was Latham after Ekiyor lost his helmet.

Both failed 4th down attempts (9:49) & (12:50), Cohen is at LG.

I’d imagine they’ll see if their defensive line can wreak havoc on our offensive line without blitzing, which allows them to drop more players into coverage. If our offensive line can’t hold their defensive line to essentially a stalemate, it’ll be a long day.

gotta move the pocket and have a bunch of stuff dialed up to take advantage of their aggressiveness. Also, if there was ever a time for Bryce to run it, this is it. Id love for him to take off on some pass plays early to give them something to have to think about
