Yep - they have a roster than has a shot to win in the SEC every night. That in and of itself is exciting and quite the testament to the job Bo had done piecing the roster together.

Do you know much about our number two and three guys? I just have not kept up well.

Shamblin was #2 last year but I hope some of the new guys or younger guys from last year are able to push him back a bit
Not knocking on Shamblin but it would be nice if he were a Sunday or long relief guy IMO

Like Bear said Shamblin was #2 last year. Antoine Jean will definitely either be the Saturday or Sunday guy I'd guess. Ras was pretty dominant in the sort of long-relief/middle starter role last year.
They have a lot of guys who pitched well in 2-3 inning stretches last year, so I'd imagine it's pretty wide open to see who grabs that last spot.

First post - be gentle. Baseball ticket order forms went out last Friday. Ticket requests are due today. Fans will be notified of ticket request fulfillment on 2/9. UA announced attendance at ‘approximately 30%’. The Grand Slammers (booster club) indicated approx 1200 fans per game. Fans were able to request tickets to all games (unlike football, basketball and softball where fans had to rank packages of games by preference). As in other sports, season ticket holders will not be in their usual seats. The schedule includes 34 home games.
Other changes for this season are listed below (from UA):
* Gates will now open one hour prior to first pitch.
* Due to decreased capacity, there will be no reserved parking areas this season. Parking will be on a first-come first-serve basis.
* Due to social distancing guidelines, we will not be offering the Home Plate Club Meal Pass only option for this season. Only those who have season tickets in the Home Plate Club will be able to access the food from the Home Plate Club.
* Masks will be required for entry and must be worn at all times while not eating or drinking

Can't remember if I already requested one or not, but are we ever going to get this bad boy a sticky?

Another preview article of the 2021 season. Nothing that hasn’t already been written, but there probably won’t be much new to report until opening weekend.

I appreciate the positive reinforcement, SOG and TideSaint. I’ve read various boards for years but this is the first one I’ve signed up for and posted to.
I’m blessed to be in a position to attend many UA sporting events. I absolutely love Bama football and basketball, but those get ample (well-deserved) attention. Was happy to see the push to get a baseball thread going and decided to take the plunge and try to contribute.
If there’s ever a push for softball or gymnastics threads, I’ll do my best to chip in on those as well.
