You mean Karl Dunbar? He was a good enough coach that his recruiting didn't matter. He built monsters.

This is just not true. We ran wayyy more designed QB runs. Hell we ran the same play in the red zone 2-3 times a game.

Milroe averaged 3.3 ypc in 2023 and 4.3 in 2024. 13 Tds in 2023 and 20 in 2024.

What changed in 2024 is that Milroe was expected to be a QB and he’s not. The defenses analyzed his film from the previous year and played deep safety and the linebackers just stood in the middle of the field and took it away. Milroe stared down his target from the snap. DeBoer THANKED the WRs for their patience this year.

He literally admitted that we could not get them ball like they deserved.

And Reese had the GOAT at HC.

He did scheme an entire offense for Milroe...the problem was that Jalen Milroe doesn't READ well.

Do yall fans not realize that in the past two years...Alabama ran a JV level offense?

Why is everyone acting like Jalen Milroe played GREAT under Rees? Because I remember the last half of the season a little differently...once teams figured him out.

Listen, if the deep ball is taken away, that leaves intermediate routes. He can’t throw those. So defense brings pressure, slants/rpo beat that, milroe can’t do that. Zone read? Milroe can’t do that.

FFS, the correct coaching decision was to bench him and clean house of any butt hurt lank boys

Completely agree. We may have used the backs a little better last season but I dont think we had more than a game or two where a back got 20 carries.

Whatever happened after the first half vs UGA?

It reminded me of the first half vs UGA in the so called “Blackout” game

How is this any different than what I said?

Sheridan literally tried to force Milroe to be a pocket passer instead of rolling him, using bootlegs or playaction moving the pocket.

That is on the OC.

Last year Milroe had 20 less completions yet almost the same yards. He had 5 less INTs and 8 more TDs.

That is because one OC was told to conform the arse game to his QBs weaknesses while the other tried to make him a pocket passer and he is a terrible pocket passer no matter how much he thinks or wants to be one.

Milroe has terrible footwork and often cannot reset to throw an accurate ball to his 2nd or 3rd read in the pocket. I don't think moving the pocket was going to work with Milroe. The times we did it, I seem to remember going about how I expected it.

He holds the ball too long. Slide protection and he gets sacked, Michigan is the most recent example. Roll out and what, flood patterns? Levels? He literally can’t do that. If milroe could run rpo and zone read we would be national champs

Who said he played great? I said he played better last year than this year, and the offense functioned more consistently last year than this year.

You can’t run QB power every play.

Did we run it once (with a RB as the lead blocker) against Michigan? Kinda surprised we didn't at least run it when we had 1st and 10 from Michigan's 15 with a minute left and one timeout.
