There's no proof of her ever saying this. Grubb is also from bumblefrick Iowa and has coached in multiple bumblefrick towns across South Dakota and Michigan that rival Troy.
The only reason he isn't coaching in Alabama today is because the NFL called. That's it.

hmmmm....i could think of several more position coaches that should be canned before him though. I thought the DBs did fantastic this season
Yeah. This one is kind of surprising.

No, but her doctoral dissertation was about racist teachers being responsible for the gap between black and white students. It's sort of a tell.
Even if it isn't race, she is so far left politically that the idea of living in a red state might make her sick. She's only ever lived in Detroit, Fresno, and Seattle.
Could be way off, but she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would be easily swayed to move to Alabama. There are a lot of people, especially in places like Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia who believe we still live in the 1960s here.

She met him in Detroit while he was at Eastern Michigan.

I’ve scoured the interwebs and the only legitimate person I can find mentioning Grubb is Lance Taylor. And then people picking up what he said. And I’m doubtful he knows anything.
Seems like a long shot. Grubb has a job. We have an offensive coordinator. And his wife doesn’t want to be here; he’s turned the job down twice. I mean I guess it’s possible but seems like a long shot.

Lance Taylor does a show every week with Brock huard who lives in Seattle and is in the know with the Seahawks, He is probably the inside source.

How do you even know that?

It was widely discussed on other sites and on social media after Grubb turned down Bama a second time and took the Seahawks job.

His QB is Geno Smith, who was already figured out last year. Plus the Seahawks line was atrocious and still hasn't recovered from Ole Pete
Yeah I mean outside of WR and RB that’s a bad offense, easier to blame the OC than the team I guess.

This is a ridiculous statement. Sheridan coached this season with one hand behind his back. He hasically had 3 plays at his disposal. Handoff, QB run, or deep pass. That's literally it. That and the Tackle play this year was pathetic.

Okay but being discussed on sports boards and social media is not the same thing as a fact.

That's true. You can read the information available about her on the internet and come to your own conclusions.
Here's a blurb from her bio on the Beyond Partners website:
quote:
In 2021, Dr. Millender received her Doctorate of Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Her dissertation is titled, Is Teacher Implicit Bias Associated with the Discipline Disparity Between Black and White Students? During her time as a school counselor, Dr. Millender became very passionate about equity outcomes for Black students.

Her dissertation is also available online:
Is Teacher Implicit Bias Associated With The Discipline Disparity Between Black And White High School Students?
Abstract:
quote:
As the discipline disparity continues between White students and Black students it is important for educators to understand the why behind the disparities. It is important to understand the reasoning behind the disparities in order to enact policies or change policies that will help to eliminate the disparity. This study aimed to determine if a teacher’s implicit bias was associated with disciplinary action between White students and Black students. High school teachers in Michigan, whose schools showed a disproportionality in discipline between Black students and White students were surveyed. The findings of the study determined that while teachers did have an implicit bias against Black students, the implicit bias was not associated with disciplinary action between Black students and White students.
ETA: To be clear, I don’t have an opinion one way or the other, I’m just explaining what the narrative is based on.

Thank you. I guess I'd say that a person with her interests would be welcome to come teach at the 98% minority high school where my wife works. Better to be the change you want to see in the world than park your arse in Seattle where it is 6% black.

Not just any NFL team. It was Seattle. No need to sell the house, move across the country, etc, and the pay was probably about the same.
I mean, honestly, it was pretty much a no brainer for Grubb.

If he’s terminated or feels like he’s unlikely to last there, relocating across the country starts looking like a better move. I get not wanting to leave Seattle the fact Amazon, Boeing, and Microsoft all have headquarters there makes it into a nice little urban utopia if you can afford it.
