He's a Tuscaloosa kid can he play? Listed at anywhere from 6'9 to 6'11 240.

He's basically Cliff Omoruyi Lite. ALL dunks and blocks on highlights. Never a clip of him shooting. Very athletic. Maybe more like a Pringle. He would probably be cheap. Might be in consideration if we use 15 scholarships. Don't think he'd ever be a threat to start, though.

That type sure would have been handy this year. Been nice to have had Big Cliff or Pringle out there against Michigan a second big body

Pringle came from a JUCO too, but I think it was after he was at a mid-major for a year. Odd that a reasonably athletic guy that size wouldn't have gotten any D1 interest out of high school. Did he hit a late growth spurt and go from 6'5" to 6'10" in the summer after high school or something? shite grades?

We had a guy named Danta Hall who was pretty awesome at those two things. Think he made the NBA for a little bit with the Pistons.

They mentioned the Shelton State player on TI TV last night.

Hell people on this board convinced themselves that neither were any good

Pringle certainly isnt great, but Cliff was significantly better than we gave him credit for.
I think if that team had Amari Allen, Wrightsell, and Philon as the guards, instead of Sears, Philon, and Youngblood, we'd have hung with Duke. Sears couldnt defend them and got swallowed(pause) on offense by their length.

Unless it was a grades issue or a character issue, I wouldn’t expect too much from someone transitioning straight from JUCO to the SEC.

Me either? But itd be nice to have a bouncy big guy for those roll actions.

I’m not even kidding …the player we are after th most right now is from Shelton State…talk about being cheap
That kid is a beast. We’re not the only SEC school recruiting him.

What's the Shelton State player name cand find anything

If he is from Tuscaloosa I wonder if they are familiar with him. As in he probably gets open runs in with the team from time to time.

Is he going to replace Williamson’s role?
Posted on 4/1/26 at 10:17 am to Diego Ricardo
Doubtful. They're very different players. This kid is going to exist exclusively in the paint. He's probably being brought in as an athletic body with 5 fouls to give and he's from Tuscaloosa so he's probably just a rev share guy too. Then you hope he's got enough juice to be an energy big you put in the lineup to catch lobs and block shots.

I was mostly joking about levels of production not play style
