They're gonna smash the average rating.

They have 3 of the top 4 DTs too, pretty unreal.

CLEMSON LANDS NATION'S TOP RECRUIT Paul Strelow • TigerIllustrated.com
quote:

The nation’s No. 1 team has nabbed the nation’s No. 1 recruit.

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco five-star quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei announced his commitment Sunday afternoon to Clemson.

Uiagalelei (6-5, 240) picked the Tigers over stated finalists Oregon and Mt. San Antonio College, with Alabama, LSU and others among his offers as well.

This marks the second time in three years Clemson has scored a quarterback ranked as the country’s top prospect – following, of course, in the footsteps of Trevor Lawrence.

Hard for me to believe he will be willing to sit a year, but Dabo's magic must be just that.... Come to Bama and be able to really compete for the 1 spot as a freshman....

Looong way until NSD. Bama has no one to blame but themselves for this Clemson class. The arse kicking they gave us has legitimized them and put them on our level. We will now have to destroy the beast we created. We need to land another 5 star soon to get this class rolling. So far we have mostly good, mid-tier guys. Time to sprinkle in some blue chip names.

I would be worried if they repeat this next year. We could sell playing time the rate at Clemson is going.

Oh yeah? Why don’t you go back and look at every class Dabo has signed at Clemson. All solid, none great. What changed between all those years and this one?

We got our arse smoked by 4 touchdowns and their boosters have opened up the pocket books to no end.. it absolutely has everything to do with last year and wining 2 of the last 3 titles. But last year was the big kicker.. showed they were for real. You don’t just jump up and beat the king by 28 points.. and kneel on the goal line. That was a statement game.. hate it but it was. We need to answer now.. this year. We are losing a ton after this year..

And now CU is in the Winners cycle... Winning boosts them into the upper levels (well, #1) recruiting class and #1 recruiting classes normally turn into NC's which in turn boost the winner into the top of the recruiting classes, which in turn......

what happened to the tape conversation where the CU BB coach was talking about how the FB program was able to "use inside resources"?
Time to take some of the shine off the Dabo magic slide

Adversity in Titletown....not a bad deal. I would prefer adversity over entitlement.

I am not sure Dabo and staff has really had to fight against entitlement as much as Nick due to lack of all the 5 stars Nick signed. Kirby is going to have to fight that himself going forward.

We'll see.

Oh and stop worrying about the other fella.

NO LONGER A PAY PER VIEW>>>> Check out the entire article now

Reading thru all the news pieces, it does seem that each visit creates tons of interest in that school and while his father has had good things to say about the Bama Program and Coach Saban, I may not see this as clearly as Hank does. I read lots of good things; but at the same time, it has to be tempered with what the dad says about the others.... Supposedly this kid and Najee have a very good bond, but Najee will not be with the team after this coming year... wonder what that will mean? ..anyway, Hank often has good insight, hopefully this one is good

How about we not worry about the ratings from guys who are not good enough at talent evaluation to work for schools and have to spend their time chasing 17 yr old boys and worry about whether CNS and staff get the players they want. I guarantee you CNS us not checking his board to 247, rivals, or ESPN.

Purpose of this thread is to present information to those interested. My thoughts were to present information from as many sources as I may find across the internet; and while I do not agree with some of the ratings or respect the group doing the ratings; I present the material along with a clear reference from whence it came.

If you are offended by the ratings or the rating service; skip by it. As I mentioned, the source is provided at the beginning of every article I post in full or part.

No offense intended; just the facts. (I do not have access to Saban's recruiting board)

This is the real answer. We aren't willing to dumptruck money like UGA and now apparently CU are willing to do. Couple that with what Dabo sells in terms of being a much nicer place to be at while getting to the NFL compared to Bama and its not hard to understand this class.

I know for a fact we back off Dean in the bidding war.. ole miss had Private investigators and it scared us off. UGA went full check book open. It was even turned into the SEC.. Nothing.

Bama pays. Auburn pays. Uga pays. Clemson pays. Osu pays. Usc pays. Fsu pays. etc etc etc! They all pay and they pay big money! That is one reason why it's a joke to allow these kids to get legit money too unless all student/athletes are going to get paid too.

So yes, Bama is willing to pay dump truck money and has for decades. They all have and they all will continue. There are some other factors which most of you are not ready to admit or even think of yet.

Those other student/athletes get handouts as well.

The difference being they don't help generate over 100 million for the university so they are nothing alike.

Always chuckle when people want to forget a free market and capitalism only when it comes to college football and basketball.

Lol! What free market? What capitalism? If you think there’s a free market or true capitalism in the USA or the world then well you need to get your money back if you paid for an education. I didn’t say other SAs didn’t get so-called handouts.

Dabo may be going to do the unthinkable and dethrone the champ and take things to the same level as Saban took Bama. He has two advantages. ACC comp won’t be an issue to overcome and he’ll be in the playoffs every year easier than Bama. Two, Saban is truly at the tail end of his career so he’ll have less comp nationally for top recruits plus Meyer is gone too.
