Are you talking about the Sanders kid? If so, why do you say that? I hope it's not because of some stereotype about White athletes. Because other than skin color that kid's measurables are elite; he's a stud athlete.

is that what you jumped to mentally when reading his post?

I think it likely had a lot more to do with a stereotype of the super gifted athletes who often lack in some of the intangibles of work ethic and leadership. Attitudes and egos among the elite talent are the biggest issues for team chemistry and performance.

@armytide373 I said what I said. Yes, sure there are some elite attitudes who lack the intangibles of hard work but most are indeed hard workers. Even someone like Terrell Owens was regularly praised for his work ethic. But, unfortunately, White athletes being gym rats and coaches on the field is a stereotype that seemingly has more traction than elite athletes lacking work ethic. If I made a mistake regarding your intention I apologize.

What position is the staff seeing in Darnell Washington? TE, OLB, DE??? Watched the film and as a TE, he is so tall that he doesn't look as agile when compared to move TEs and WR. On DE/OLB, they used him a lot as a mush rusher.

TE all the way. We should land one or the other of him or Arik Gilbert.

You may feel that way, but every color analyst will be sure to tell you he's a shitty-I-mean-deceptive athlete but makes up for it with his coach-on-the-fieldiness and work ethic when he plays.

LINK ]Sanders goes in-depth on Alabama commitment BamaOnLine By Hank South
quote:

Alabama flipped Top50 athlete Drew Sanders from Oklahoma on Monday night, just one day after the Denton (Texas) Ryan product returned home from his official visit to Tuscaloosa.

“You know, the past few weeks we’ve been down at Alabama and we’ve been talking to Coach (Nick) Saban and all the other coaches there and I just feel like it’s the best fit for me out of all the other places,” Sanders said of why he decided to flip.

The 6-foot-5, 222-pounder visited the Capstone twice this month, getting an in-depth look on everything theprogram has to offer.

...Sanders is shutting down his recruitment and isn’t planning anymore visits elsewhere.

“It’s the best school in the country,” he said of Bama. “It’s going to provide me with the best opportunities. What more could you ask for?”

Sanders is rated the No. 3 athlete and the No. 34 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Sanders looks like a damn freak. I think he is going to push for PT early. Man we are getting some athletic guys at LB.
