I think Randolph will leave / be asked to leave and thinking outside the box or “disgruntled /impatient player , I could see Wynn being that guy if he Doesn’t make a move in the spring . I know he was injured, but he got very little time when back healthy and others have passed him by IMO

I’m going to be honest. I hate transfer season. I hate feeling like these guys are getting ditched. I know that it’s just part of the business, but I hate it. This and injuries just bother me

The obvious solution is to bump the scholarship cap up to 100 or 110 or something so the only guys who leave did so willingly, but that will never happen for a variety of reasons.

Me too, Cobra. I hate for anyone to suffer injury setbacks. And even though it's unrealistic, I hope everyone who's been putting in the hard work and giving full effort gets to play and contribute in some kind of meaningful role, even if its just special teams, to go along with being a reserve who mostly just plays in blowout games.

A few years ago we could've taken more players correct? But they put limitations in to slow Saban down right?

One or two more spots and he's a composite 5-star, correct? When does 247 do their final re-rank?

Not a lot really. The only major rules change was the new 25 signings per academic year limit that became effective for the 2018 cycle. It effectively elininated blueshirting, but Bama really didnt use it much anyway. What's different this year for Bama is having the handfull of draft-eligible juniors who opted to stay for their senior season. Ordinarily, we have enough graduations, early departures to the NFL draft and transfers to open up enough 85-limit spots for the incoming recruiting class.

Yea, these guys have been working their butts off and for some reason it just hasn’t worked for them. I feel crappy every year about this

I feel for these guys that move on, but you have to remember for most of them, it's their decision AND in their best interest to go somewhere where they can play instead of spending the next 2-3 years on our scout team getting mauled. In the long run, it's for our best and their best.

Yeah and in some cases it's on them -- that they didn't take adantage of their opportunities. For example, when McMillon and Moses got injured, Kaho, Benton and Moody should've been better prepared to step up into the starting ILB spots, instead of letting freshmen come in and beat them out. If you're a backup, you're 1 injury play away from being the guy. You better be making sure you're ready to handle it. Same with Jarez Parks. There are six talented underclassmen hungry to leapfrog him. What's he doing about that? Everything he can to learn the playbook, eliminate mental mistakes and play consistent winning football? Or just thinking about entering the portal?

This past season was a perfect chance for Kaho. Maybe he’s having a difficult time learning things because he has the talent

Kaho must have a low football IQ, because physically that dude is impressive. Hopefully the light comes on for him this year.

Its crazy because the guys who are good on special teams are usually the guys who turn out to be really good for us.
