Once the Composite updates with the new Rivals rankings we should move up quite a bit. We jumped a cumulative 120 spots today.

ETA: I took a quick glance at our competition for the #1 class and how they fared with today's update.

Clemson +76 cumulative spots.
Georgia +63 spots.
Ohio State +64 spots.
LSU -25 spots.

2020 Projected Roster -- NUMBERS CRUNCH: We currently have 82 total counters. So, we need 6 more departures to fit our 9 early signees who enroll in June within the 85 limit, plus another 4 departures to fit in 4 Feb. signees (Burroughs, Baker Jackson, Rakestraw). Bold names on the roster indicate the most likely departures:
1. Brian Robinson
2. T Shavers or C Townsend or J Baker
3. Giles Amos
4. Michael Parker
5. Chris Owens
6. Kendall Randolph
7. Markhail Benton
8. Jalen Moody
9. Ben Davis
10. Joseph Bulovas
11. Skyler DeLong

Just don't see Shavers or Randolph going anywhere.

Shavers is competing for a starting receiver spot and Randolph will see a lot of time as a blocking tight end.

Off the top of my head. The most likely to transfer
1) Daniel Wright
2) Chadarius Townsend
3) Delong
4) BRob
5) Parks
6) Bo Davis
7) some impatient young guy

We MUST have 10 departures or else there's not room for 4 Feb signees.

ETA: Downvoting won't change that fact.

Wright has a pretty good chance of starting. Townsend might too. Iirc, he got more playing time at WR in 2019 blowouts than Shavers did. Shavers graduated in Dec. He can grad transfer with 2 years of immediate eligibility. Parks already used his redshirt, so if he transfers he'll have to sit out and lose a year of eligibility. Name the young impatient guy who'll choose to transfer and sit out out a year.

I think they’ve ruined Townsend by moving him around so much. Shavers will start before Townsend

I don’t see Randolph, Shavers, or Wright leaving. Those guys will have roles this upcoming season. I can see Townsend leaving since he has bounced around between wr/rb and is honestly getting buried at this point.

When y'all mention guys you think will stay, please try to help me out by naming someone else who will depart instead of them that I didn't already list to reach the 10 departures needed.

I dunno what Townsend will do but the word is that the staff absolutely loves him and is trying desperately to find him a place to settle in.

He may decide to go get reps elsewhere, but it won't be the staff pushing him out.

I screwed up but it made me laugh so I kept it

Is Bama looking to sign two more DL? Or is it Jackson (If he wants in) or Burroughs (If Jackson doesn't sign, plus grade risk).

I could see Bama taking Baker, Ennis and one of Jackson and Burroughs.

Not sure if it matters that Parks will have to sit out. He can either not play here or not play somewhere else. Like you, I’m just giving my opinion.

As far as the young impatient player. If I had a name I would have given it. I just know that it seems to happen every year.

Like I said, I’m just sharing my opinion. It’s no better or worse than yours.

Tbh, I don't know if Burroughs still gets a spot if Jackson wants in. Burroughs wants in big time and hasn't really developed any other options.

If we get Jackson, Rakestraw...and drop Jayson Jones and Burroughs...keep Baker. Wonder how close that gets us to the #1 class? I think it's gonna be really close between us, Clemson and uga.

Also wonder if Anderson moves up to a composite 5-star? And what about Kennedy, he's close as well?

I appreciate everyone's thoughts on who's a departure candidate. I'll just go ahead and bold the additional names y'all mentioned on the projected roster post for now, and then update it as we see how it all plays out.
