The tall wr thing is just about how Ross did us.

Posted this before,
And that's not even padding it with Duron Carter(eligibility) and Eddie Williams(who couldn't even last a camp at WR before moving to DB).

Earl Alexander, Mike Bowman, Kendall Kelly, Raheem Falkins, Cams Sims, Derek Kief, and Tyrell Shavers. Which one of those guys contributed statistically to Bama in a significant way?

Also none of those guys were really rated high like Ross and thry didnt have great QBs

When we recruit tall WRs he is labeled a “red zone threat” but basically all that means is fades in the corner of the end zone which is not a big part of the game anymore with lengthy corners . Must of our tds comes from different spots on the field on normal throws . It is great to have a WR like Ross but we do just fine with the Jeudy, Smith, Ruggs, Waddle, Cooper, Ridley types as well

Julio????
Clearly aside from Julio. He was a generational talent

They were all 4* by some measure.

Yet every one them played with a WR that was or will be drafted in the 1st Rd. QB play wasn't a problem for those "smaller" WRs.
Which is it, talent or QBs? Or is it height is that overrated as a trait?
Ross didn't want to come to Bama. He openly doubted Bama's passing game with Hurts, yet walked onto a campus with Kelly Bryant as the starting QB.
Bama and Bama fans caught up in finding the next Julio and it resulted in some big WRs who just knew how to block.
Now the remorse in missing on Ross is repeating the cycle...

Ross was borderline a fivestar if i recall and not to mention a lot of those guys werent even WRs in high school full time E. Williams, Kelly, and Alexander were just athletes. Now ill admit we dont even throw fades at all. Remember one game we threw one to Maze and Julio was on the field i believe. So like i said before i think the tall WR thing is about us not having Ross.

Thats two WRs Cooper and Julio that are just special guys. Them going round one had nothing to do with the QBs. Not to mention its hard to get the ball when 90% of the balls were going to one guy.

Care to list all the short receivers who were busts now?

Was about tall receivers, feel free to do that research

We didn't have the QB playing to take advantage of Cam Sims' abilities. But, Cam had all the tools to be a stud for us.

I don't believe that the plays he made in the NC had anything to do with his height. It was his speed/route running and perfect passes from Lawrence that absolutely destroyed our DB's.

Realize the Taulia actually lives in Thompson School District, but seems he should be considered as Hawaiian recruit? But, as I said, I understand his family are Alabama residents now.

Im thinking that the Passing of Lawrence and the coverage skills of Savion may have been the perfect storm. Almost anything thrown on SS's side was destined for glory.

And just around the corner, though dates have not officially been announced, is Alabama spring football practice. That most interesting time concludes with the A-Day Game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on April 13.
Using last year's schedule, seems Practice would start in a couple of weeks, about March 12th *not sure when spring break is this year and if HCNS will try to get a practice in before the team takes off for break? Actually will begin March 8
Should have many informative reports about recruiting visitors/visits and exciting reports about how the new guys who enrolled early are shaping up after having been on campus for a couple months. (interested in Neal's LB's and what Shane Lee looks like after some nutrition and 4th qtr program work)

Bijan Robinson
Two-thirds of the recruiting rankings sets included in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite for the 2020 class have undergone recent updates, and a new 5-star prospect and more than 20 new 4-star prospects are among the big moves. There will be more 247Sports Composite rankings fallout as well when the 247Sports rankings are updated in the coming days.
Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic running back LINK ]Bijan Robinson is the new five-star prospect, moving up seven spots to No. 32 overall. He has put together back-to-back 2,000-yard rushing seasons, including a 2,400-yard, 35-touchdown campaign as a junior. He becomes the sixth running back prospect with five stars in the 247Sports Composite.
The new four-star prospects are led by a pair of offensive tackle prospects making huge jumps into the 247Sports Composite four-star range. Texas commit Jake Majors of Prosper (Texas) High moves up 171 spots to No. 199 overall and 6-foot-8, two-sport star Tosh Baker of Phoenix Pinnacle jumps more than 300 spots to No. 212 with another bump up likely to come soon. With college offers in hand to play football and basketball, Baker’s star on the gridiron is rising and he has one Crystal Ball prediction for a football future at Notre Dame.

Mike Williams in the '16 NC Moss'd us a couple times with good coverage. Ross just seemed to be wide azz open
