Thanks.

You posted that he was a kicker not a punter.

"He decommitted from a PWO to Ole Miss to go to Alabama. He'll be on campus March 2 and then enroll in June." -- Hank (BOL)

Eta: I added him to our 2019 Signing Class post:

0* P Jack Martin 6-0/176 AL hudl PWO

Kind of surprised here on the punter...this is the school my youngest goes to and I haven't ever really heard much about him as being a great punter. My daughter says he has got really long legs (awkward like).

I wonder why nothing happened with this kid:

0* P Nash Acton 5-11/185 MS hudl (PWO?)

Was going to ask you if you had heard anything on him. Got a coaching friend from the area and he said the kid was good and would get better with good coaching

I haven't seen or heard anything lately.

UAgrad93 knows Nash Acton's dad.

Bama target DE Vernon Broughton CBd to Texas by Steve Wiltfong. One Arky and one Texas mod followed suit.

That's exactly 10 yards less per punt than Acton's 48.9 average on 49 total punts.

I haven't spoken with Chad in a few weeks, but he did tell me that Nash was chomping at the bit to get a PWO. Nash's grandmother, Chad's mom, is currently dealing with some serious health issues. Maybe, this could be holding up some contact between the two. Please keep Chad and his family in your prayers.

I'll try to touch base with Chad and see where things stand.

Let’s bring in as many punters as possible. Whoever can consistently hit it 45 yards with good hang time gets a scholly.

True, but when 38% of your punts are downed inside the 20, I would assume it has a drastic effect on the average.

A few Spring visits in the works:

Sam Adams II -- Thur (visiting CU & UGA too).
Chris Tyree -- UV, March 1.
Antoine Sampah -- UV, 2 days, Spring practice.
Reggie Grimes -- UV, Spring practice.
Carson Beck -- UV, working on date(s).
Andrew Gentry -- OV, April.
Jalen Kimber -- Rescheduled Feb 16 to Mar 16.

No doubt there'll be lots more.

TidalSurge, heard anything about a visit date from Kelee Ringo?

He was interviewed on the radio here in Phoenix a couple weeks ago, and talked about being exited to get to see Alabama.

Not yet, but we'll probably get Kelee Ringo on campus this Spring or Summer, since there's strong mutual interest.

PSA: The 1st Post had hit the post size limit at 44 players on the Top Targets list. Over 100 links in that post took up LOTS of room. I couldn't add a player without removing one. I found and used a cool link compressor to solve the problem, but it took a few hours to do all of them. It was a very tedious and boring job.

Example: https:/247sports.com/Player/Zachary-Evans-94137 LINK
Compressed: https:/is.gd/6WVPrJ LINK
(I took a / out of https:// above so they'd display)

I had been cutting the player names out of the 247 and hudl links, but the links at the top of the post were taking up enough space for 6 players. After compressing all of the links, the 1st post now has 53 players and still hasn't hit the post size limit.

The site is is.gd and it's easy to use, no sign up required. It simply creates a unique short link for you to copy and use and stores a redirect record on is.gd's server. Click on the compressed LINK above, watch the browser's address line closely and you'll see that short link for a tiny fraction of a second as it redirects.

We ridin' now!

Eta: Y'all alert me if you find any bad links.

LSU is now #1 in the Composite Team Rankings. Yesterday we got a very underrated CB commit and they got a much higher rated WDE commit. Bama and LSU both have 11 commits, but our average player rating is lower -- mainly due to Clark and Robinson being very underrated, so hopefully they'll be corrected at some point. But, Rivals (asshats) never did adjust their ridiculous ranking for Jeffery Carter, despite being called out for it.

Eta: The updated Rivals250 released Feb 20, but Rivals shows no ranking for Clark and Robinson. ESPN ranks Clark as the #164 player and #3 TE, but shows no ranking for Robinson.
