So he's basically Vandarius Cowan 2.0? 5 star talent with a 0 star attitude.

I hope we stop recruiting this guy. We just went through this with Cowan

Good. I'd feel more sympathetic if we hadn't just had it come back in our face with Cowan

Between the Braves-Nationals and Packers-Bears, I have been in and out of the Trinity Christian/Parrish Episcopal High School game. TC's QB is Deion Sander's kid and he has looked pretty good in the drives I've seen. Of course because Deion is the OC he is on screen every 15 seconds.

I have wanted to exclusively focus on flipping Jase McClellan and move on from Evans for a while now. Who knows what will happen in the future for Evans but he looks like he has a lot he needs to work out at the moment.

This is what happened with Bama and Pickens last year. We stopped recruiting him because Saban just didn't like him. It went well beyond the grades thing. Will be interesting to see if he matures in college.

2. JORDAN BURCH

When I saw Burch on national television earlier this season, I was super-impressed by his size and speed coming off the edge. It was a little difficult to judge him, though, since his opponent ran a unique offense and it didn’t allow Burch to do a whole lot. Still, with his physical prowess and burst, there’s little doubt he’s going to have a dominant career.

5. ARIK GILBERT

Having a tight end this high seems extreme, but I don’t think Gilbert projects to play that position. He’s best as a big outside receiver - someone who has elite size, speed, athleticism and play-making ability. He was awesome at the Five-Star Challenge this summer, he proved he has the speed to go deep against anybody and he has excellent hands to make plays. A big move up is warranted.

ADAM FRIEDMAN

Three of the top five outside linebackers are from my region and there will likely be some movement after the season. Georgia commit Mekhail Sherman is at the top of the list right now and he is coming back from tearing his ACL last season. Physically, Sherman looks nearly the same as he did prior to the injury but two games into his senior season he is playing more defensive end than linebacker. His combination of size and speed in the open field along with being a major pass rushing threat off the edge from a standing position made him so dangerous. We haven’t seen too much of that this season.

Chris Braswell is having a great season and continues to show the quickness and pass-rushing skills that make him a five-star. He doesn’t play in space too much right now, but it’s very easy to see he has the ability to do so. Auburn commit Trenton Simpson is one of the best all-around athletes in this class. He’s built like more of a true outside linebacker as opposed to an "edge" player. Simpson’s speed and size are exactly what you’re looking for at that position and he is definitely in the five-star discussion for the next rankings update.

At this point, Braswell has the momentum to end up as the top-rated outside linebacker, but Quandarrius Robinson has a lot going for him as well.

Damn. I really liked Mekhail Sherman before he got injured. It appears his injury may have been more severe than initially reported.
