Better than striking out on all 3. Hopefully he’ll be a big part of the future.

Wish we could mix Avery's recruiting with Oats everything else.

I would assume Bediako would be a priority. Hopefully he could reclassify. I like Josh Hall too and there seems to be a mutual interest. The staff would need to develop him a bit more physically. It seems like we are more than capable of developing Hall by the looks of Davis this year.

I think Avery's first class was Braxton Key and Armond Davis.

Yeah they ended up disappointing but let's not pretend they weren't big gets.

Let's not pretend they were 5 stars either.

I think judging Oats based off of missing out on Burnett and Jackson(who he had a lead for on both late) is incredibly dumb. He isn’t gonna be able to land these kids until on court success comes.

He is a good recruiter, Hell Jackson father even said Isaiah liked Alabama the most but Chose UK because they both liked it.

Ambrose is really good offensively, better than Jackson. Jackson’s elite defense is why he is a 5*

Kind of feel bad for Ambrose. I mean he’s a top 100 guy so this should be something we get excited about, but it’s hard to when we didn’t land either 5-star when we were considered the leader for both the majority of the last few months.

I am very happy we got Ambrose's commitment. If we get Bediako, that's a nice pipeline to Canada who's really stepping up in producing bball talent.

I can list several elite programs don't seldom land five stars: Gonzaga, Wisconsin under Bo Ryan, Michigan under Beilein, and national champion UVA.

Are we going to be able to pick up a player with height? Someone with some athleticism that can get down the court like Donte?
Ambrose might be good but just 6'8".

I think that's why we were focusing on Bediako while stumbling upon Ambrose.

No, but I assumed you wanted to mix Avery's recruiting with Oats' coaching because you were saying Avery's recruiting was better. It may end up being better, but we don't know that yet. Avery's first class was Key, who is ranked pretty similarly to Ambrose (59 vs 79), and Davis who was a low 4 star transfer.

I think Avery definitely did recruit well, especially considering his relative lack of success with winning, but I'm not ready to say Oats won't do as well or better just because he missed on a couple of 5 stars in his first real season of recruiting.

Depends on Kira going pro and whether Oats runs anyone off. I think it's pretty safe to assume Smith will be playing elsewhere next season. Kira needs to spend another year with a real S&C coach and get a lot better on defense to get to the NBA, which I assume is his goal.

Why do you guys keep assuming that on Smith? Kid may love it here. Anyway Oats learned a valuable lesson on recruiting here just like previous guys have.

If we can get Bediako to jump on board i would be contwnt with that. Dont want to start taking those guys like Harvell just because we have space.
