We can only get better with better players. Hopefully Jackson and Ambrose are the start of that.

From reading a few folks who seem decently connected on the Twitters they've been told Kentucky

Remember when me and you were getting told to stop being such negative nancies for suggesting that being mentioned in July with these guys wasn't that big a deal?

Yeah I had someone I trust tell me it’s UK. This sucks.

Not a good start to the Oats era losing 2 of your first 3 games and then missing out on your top 2 recruits...

Kira just updated a friend of mine, Isaiah Jackson will commit to Kentucky.

After the first 3 games, he’d be an idiot if he didn’t commit to Kentucky.

At this point the recruiting class is looking like a complete bust. Maybe we will get Ambrose and convince the Bediako kid to reclassify. Otherwise we will have to hit the grad transfer market, which has been pretty unkind to us aside from Bola.

Well Slater and others changed their pick to UK. Terrible look for Oats to miss on his top two targets and shite the bed to start the season.

To be honest though, it’s Kentucky. Oats is going to have accomplish things on the court before you start pulling kids from Kentucky. I’m more surprised at Burnett choosing Tech after all his talk about wanting to play in an up tempo offense. And outside of last year Tech doesn’t have a lot of history.

Seriously? How long has Oats been recruiting these kids? At Alabama? We basically have a group of freshman playing right now. None of them have played in this system before, and it shows with their play. How about we have a little patience. Go back and look at Sabans first class. Not that many 5*, but a lot of kids that wanted to play for him. We can’t expect Oats to come in and light up the recruiting board and win every game. We just need to show some improvement in the games and success off the court will come.

Would have liked Isaiah, but Ambrose is good. Need a versatile to kick things off. Hope Oats can finish the recruiting season strong. Oats better get some decent ball handlers if he's going to get anything rolling here.

He’s had a connection to Burnett for years and I imagine the same for Jackson since he’s from Michigan. If you put all your eggs into a couple kids and whiff, then it’s a shitty look. It’s okay to not make excuses for everything at the beginning of someone’s tenure.

Bro stop. He isn’t even a year into his tenure. Texas Tech has had recent success. Kentucky is Kentucky. Let’s complain when they go to a lesser school.

With Oats, it seems to be five stars or bust. Bama needs to be targeting 50-150 range, unless they have a strong connection to the state. That's something Beilein, Bennett at UVA, and Bo Ryan understood. I'd rather have a solid player than no player in that spot. This keeps up, I'd wonder if we fukked up by no going after Forbes at ETSU.
