Palm seems to put too much emphasis on just record to me. St. Mary's doesn't deserve to be a 5 seed. New Mexico State St as a 9 is too high also.

Well I was thinking of last year and this year together. Fox and Monk were amazing, but otherwise Cal has taken on more raw projects than usual. They have no one running their offense this year and none of their traditional bigs have been very good. Knox is a good face up 4 like you said, but then they have a ton of guys in the 6'4"-6'7" range who have a mishmash of 2/3/4 skill sets. To me those are wings. I guess if you want to call them tweeners that would work too. It's just a fundamentally flawed roster.

Our team is completely different when Petty actually scores because it stretches the D. In the SECT & NCAAT, if the kid shoots like he does away from Coleman. I think it's going to be a short ride for Bama.

Normally Kentucky has 2-3 Sexton caliber recruits. This year they have only Johny Petty caliber recruits and it is showing.

What makes it worse is they have no true PG/ball handler and no post players. They basically play 5 wings

It's crazy to say, but they aren't as talented as us.

I'd say they are more talented but not as well balanced in talent

Bama puts out a better starting 5 than UK does because all their players actually fit their position

You're def right about the anchor. People talk about how young all of Cals teams are but he always has 1-2 returning starters + veteran role players. Guys to help the freshman transition

Also UK need not worry, Auburn is about to provide them the quality road win necessary for their NCAAT resume

As soon as Petty hit the early 3 I knew we were going to play well. Shortly after that he picked up a nice assist instead of forcing it or heat checks.

Everyone played to their potential and complete game all around. With Petty doing the above, Key was attacking the rim , Jones hitting Jumpers, Sexton is Sexton, Hall is Hall, and Giddens didn't pick up his second foul until he was on the court for 16 mins iirc.

at this point, Aub can win out except for our game. It really helps us with the tiebreaker, it's head to head and then goes to record vs #1 and then #2, etc.

Why is Michigan #20? 19-7 (8-5) in this year's Big Ten isn't impressive.

I thought Key played really well. He did a lot of damage in the paint, instead of jacking up 3s. And his footwork on defense at the end against the TN point guard was very impressive. Hall's hands always impress me. He catches some short, hot passes with ease, and he has very good body control when they throw the ball up to him for a dunk. He is a good athlete. I hope his wrist holds up.

3 of those 5 conf losses were top 10-15 opponents

Michigan should be a top 20-25 based on resume. Their losses are on the road and 4-5 of them against seeded teams

Key has become a good low post passer. I'd like for him to be a little more aggressive sometimes. But when he and Hall are together, they get buckets down low. Hall's hands have been tremendous this year.
