From AB on TS:

Travonte Valentine (6'3 290 DT Louisville commit, '14 class) is visiting next weekend and is considering flipping to Bama.

Rodney Anderson ('15 RB from Katy, Texas): father told Bone that Bama is only school his son wants to attend. He was one of the top performers at Bama's camp in June and plans on attending Bama's 1st game at BDS.

Updates on Matthew Thomas and DeMarcus Walker from The Opening LINK via @247Sports

quote:

Thomas maintains UA as his leader with FSU 2nd. He plans on camping at FSU and hopes to visit UA at the end of July or early August.

Walker says he's not sure if he'll stick with his August 3rd decision date. UA remains in good position with him, but Florida made a move on his last trip there. He added that he plans on visiting UA for camp, which is only a week out.

You guys are too rich. Didn't expect Ramsey to outshine QBs in this type of setting where they have the advantage of playing the same offense they have been practicing for years. Same goes for Swoopes. Allow him to run and who knows how we'll those receivers open up. Here s the key though. UGA has recruited the QB position well enough they don't have to rush him to the starting position as soon as he gets on campus. He will RS and get a chance to get comfortable with the coverages. Of course Browne looked great. Did no one else hear Hawkins saying they were using his plays from HS?

Ramsey will be in the same boat as phil Simms was at Alabama.

How is this any different from Cooper Bateman's situation once he arrives in Tuscaloosa?

Brice Ramsey plays against some of the best competition in the country so he should be used to seeing these athletes on the field.

Cooper Bateman plays against kids from Utah. Not hardly the same athletes that he's been on the field with in the last 2 days. He's gotten better every day of the competition, and that is all that you can ask for.

It's not like either QB has performed well this weekend. But what is important is that they are playing each other for a chance at the Finals. Both are leaders and it's obvious that both struggle in these 7-7 settings. With that being said, both are clearly winners, and isn't that the most important stat in football?

Bateman is just as athletic as Swoopes so would this not benefit him also? Their SPARQ results are very similar, as you can see.

Tyrone Swoopes QB 6-4.5 229 4.77 4.32 29.3 41.0

Cooper Bateman QB 6-3 190 4.77 4.38 35.2 38.5

There is Max Browne

Then there is everyone else.

Are you being serious? Alabama has AJ McCarron and a couple of warm bodies as backups. Bateman will be the de facto #2 guy the moment he steps on campus. If AJ stays healthy he will get some time, but should AJ go down, you better believe he will be in the fire. Meanwhile at UGA Murray will be there for 1 to 2 more years, Mason will be there with SEC experience under his belt, and by the time Ramsey gets on campus, Lemay will also have a year of experience as backup. Hell Faton Bauta has actually shocked everyone with his ability so far this Spring and Summer. Let's just say there is a reason that a top ranked QB from the 2014 class who is also a huge GA fan, Tyler Harris, is keeping his options open.

Did I mention that this is a 7on7 tourney, which has no real ingame situations, so all of this is just mindless drivel?

UGA's depth at QB isn't really any better off than Bama's. If you think Hutson Mason is going to be able to come in and replace Murray with success, you're just being a homer, homer.

Why don't you stick to UGA's depth chart because it's obvious that you are clueless about Bama's. I can't remember the last time that a Bama QB didn't redshirt and Bateman will be the same.

Well then enlighten me as to why bama took Philip Ely last year and a marginal second candidate in McLeod this year? Hell, if you think Mason ain't ready for prime time, you best hope that great OL of Bama keeps McCarron upright.

Christian LeMay will might not do as well as Murray, but he'll fill in just fine.

Also, Ramsey plays in a wing-T offense and throws the ball maybe 7-10 times a game.

What the hell are you talking about? Ely redshirted last year. We took Alec Morris this year. Like I said, you have no clue about Bama's situation.
