I know that in Alabama, kids can be on scholarship and go to school for free at private schools, is that allowed in LA? I don't know why it wouldn't be, thats the beauty of private school

I believe Warwick Dunn attended Catholic High on scholarship. His mother was a police officer killed in the line of duty. He was supposed to attend Istrouma high I think

I've seen some schools get in trouble for scholarships and others not get in trouble. So I'm not really sure what the rules are.

He just said in an interview that he would be enrolling in January at Bama. Said he actually only has one class to finish. I like this kid a lot because he's from a super rough area of nola and seems to have succeeded so far and has a good head on his shoulders.

He doesn't say anything in the interview about Carver not having football next year. He's still listed as attending Carver on his 247 profile and in the interview he says he's focused on his upcoming season. Doesn't say anything about a transfer.

quote:

“The coaches just found out that I’m going to be there in January as an early graduate, so they were excited. I’m good to go. I just have to take one more core class and then I’ll be done. They loved that. They said I’m going to have a chance to come in and compete and that I’m a big guy and a big target.” Falkins contends he’s done with recruiting and has turned his focus towards the upcoming season. “It’s time to buckle down and get ready for the season, so I’m firm with my commitment. There are some other schools, but I let them know where I stand and they don’t contact me much, so it doesn’t bother me. “This season, I would like to have no drops, I know everyone has them, but I would like to not have any. I want to try to help our team go deep in the playoffs and do some things we’ve never done before. I also want to help our young guys, so when I leave, they’ll be able to do the best they can for themselves.”

The news about Carver not having a team was all over the place in the Spring. But I can't find anything about it now. Maybe the program got a stay of execution. Good luck to the kid.

Bone says we likely land Henry and Walker this month, with Santa Maria possible.

He also alluded to us not getting all 3 backs(Jones, Ten, Henry), and says we land Henry. Jones isnt going anywhere, so that leaves Tenpenny.

This is exactly why I didnt want Henry, what sucks is he wont even end up at RB. We were just fine with two of the top backs in the nation, now we lose one and gain a player who will bounce around positions having never played them.

ETA: He also said UGA is making a huge push for Jones, and he could possibly see a flip if he doesnt the situation........fahq.

I've always thought he would work well at linebacker.

Might be a little too soon, probably should wait until NSD to pass judgement.

If we dont land the #1 class, I'll have that site up and running within a day.

The thing is hes never played it before. Sure he has the measurables, but does he have a badass streak to him?

If he's smart enough for it, I think he could succeed. From what I've seen, he is a really good athlete, and he's already near the size he needs to be. Not sure about the mean streak you alluded to, so I guess we will have to find out.

It's pretty much a moot point. If he does come to UA, he'll start off at RB his first year(says him
), maybe even second. Once he does make the switch he'll have 2-3 years to learn a entirely new position he's never played before. We recruit extremely well at that position.

Point being, I dont ever see him cracking our LB core.

he seems to have no desire to play on defense whatsoever.. HB would be an easier transition for him if he cant crack the RB rotation, keep him on offense, utilize his physical gifts.

It really does suck to see a guy like that go OOS...

Ameer Abdullah went to Nebraska (even though most Auburn fans wanted us to offer him) and made a ton of plays as a freshman, Jonathan Rose is thinking about transferring there, and now Jonathan Cook...

They're making a pretty quiet living on some key, under the radar guys from Alabama.

BOL says Antonio Conner made an under the radar visit the week after camp.

That's what I like to hear.
