LSU defense looked acceptable against aTm.
The result looked acceptable, that’s it.
Mond’s had some bad games but this may have been his worst.
11-34 for 105 yards.
Worst part - he was only sacked once and hurried once (ESPN stats). He had plenty of time and couldn’t have hit the ocean if he’d been standing on an oil rig.

WORST case scenario is sort of like the Ole Miss game.
They get lucky enough for 2 maybe 3 drives to stay with us and make the whole experience unpleasant and aggravating before we pull away.

If they had Brennan and Marshall hadn’t opted out that maybe might have been possible. But without them, no way even that remotely happens. Ole Miss’s offense was near damn perfect except on a few plays.

No shot. Their offense is much closer to Tennessee than it is Ole Miss.

ALABAMA - 57
LSU- 7
Alabama Total Yards (YPP): 575 (9.12 on 63 plays)
Alabama Pass Yards (YPA): 359 (10.16 on 27 plays)
Alabama Rush Yards (YPA): 215 (5.25 on 36 plays)
LSU Total Yards (YPP): 270 (3.80 on 71 plays)
LSU Pass Yards (YPA): 209 (4.85 on 43 plays)
LSU Rush Yards (YPA): 61 (2.19 on 28 plays)
Oh lord. If this is accurate for the most part, then Mac Jones would have between 3-5 TDs. This game might be enough to put Ed on hot seat and possibley elevate Mac Jones in Heisman Race.

You got the time to run a prediction for the Auburn-A&M game?

Their offense is atrocious. They can't run, they can't block and they have 2 true freshmen QBs who are not at all ready to start in the SEC. They have some good receivers but they can't get them the ball either due to confusion or no time.
Honestly, I don't think it's possible for our defense to play badly enough to give their offense enough success to put enough points on the board to win. I'm not saying it's impossible for us to lose this game...but yeah, it pretty much is. We'd have to have something like 5 turnovers in our own redzone, with Mac throw multiple pick-sixes again.

Texas A&M - 26
Auburn - 19
Texas A&M
413 yards on 66 plays (6.26)
204 pass yards on 28 attempts (7.28)
209 rush yards on 38 attempts (5.51)
Auburn
319 yards on 69 plays (4.63)
189 pass yards on 33 attempts (5.74)
130 rush yards on 36 attempts (3.61)
If Tank and their OL guys are still beat up I could definitely see it being more like 30-14. I'd guess that Steele loads up the front, plays man outside and dares them to throw the ball down the field.

Interesting.
I'm kind of feeling an Auburn victory here.

Which Mond really can't do.
It makes me feel so dirty but I kind of want Auburn to win just to laugh at how pissed off they are after a win now that they've all firmly turned on Gustav and are ready for it to end.

Auburn needs their injured OLs back -- A&M's DL is pretty dang good. Auburn also needs to play at their best, like they did vs LSU. A&M's offense, mainly Mond, looked way out of whack vs LSU. A good AU performance and upset win could cool Gus' seat quite a bit.

Yea - I mean Auburn basically did that against us for 2-3 drives until we forced them out of it. And it was pretty effective against the run game.
It's what LSU did, and it worked pretty well (rain helped).

It feels like either a close Auburn win or a physical whipping by A&M, depending on how much Auburn still wants to play.
I'm guessing A&M comes out ready to go, though, on offense. They were embarrassing last Saturday.

Ed so announced it today in presser. He did opt out.

George....run the model for the SECCG. I need to know if how much self-worth I need to invest into that game.
