UCLA Packed Up And Left Hours Before Telling NC State They Weren't Playing In Holiday Bowl
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Hours before yesterday's kickoff between NC State and UCLA in the Holiday Bowl, the Bruins announced they were decimated with covid numbers, packed up and pulled out. However, they never told NC state they were doing so...

NC State head coach Dave Doeren was furious...
quote:

"Felt lied to, to be honest. We felt like UCLA probably knew something was going on with their team and didn't tell anyone on our side. We had no clue they were up against that. I don't think it was very well-handled from their university." - Yahoo Sports

Hope they counted it as a forfeit. NC State continues to get screwed in postseason sports this year.

I feel for the NC state people. Duck UCLA people, they are commies. The NC fans flew across the country, rented hotels, maybe rented cars, probably took pto or time off work and they get this? That is some lame shite.

Their basketball team wimped out on UNC so we got the pleasure of beating that arse instead. This is about as low as it gets. I feel for NC State fans travelling across country, their team prepping and for some a last chance to play for their school. Of course no time to bring in another team. It should be a forfeit and NC State gets the trophy.

Now didn't NC State have to forfeit in the CWS last spring when they couldn't field a team? Same standard doesn't apply?

Only west coast schools are bailing. What you'd expect from the leftist, progressives and woke lovers

Chip Kelly is the most over-rated coach in the history of college football. All you have to do is look at his record against Top 25 teams as a college coach. IT IS HORRIBLE?

The document, reviewed by the Los Angeles Times late Thursday, asserts that players do not trust coach Chip Kelly’s program to act in their best interest, particularly in regard to their health, a realm where it says UCLA has “perpetually failed us,” citing “neglected and mismanaged injury cases.” The document does not provide examples. The players demanded that a “third-party health official” be on hand for all football activities to see that protocols for COVID-19 prevention are being followed; that anonymous whistleblower protections are provided for athletes and staff to report violations; and that each player can make a decision about whether to come back to Westwood without fear of losing his scholarship or other retaliation.
