Capitalism folks. They want more profit. So they get rid of a massive contract and up the ticket prices under the guise of "investing in the team." Laughable since they pull in the 5th highest revenue of all of the NBA teams. This is when we're reminded that it's a business and they don't care for trophies that much -- that's more of a good feel side effect. Look at the NFL for example, the Cowboys are rated the highest value of all of the teams, yet haven't won a trophy in 30+ years.

Mavs new owner wants to move team to Vegas. The only explanation for deliberately trying to alienate the fan base.

the only reason they want to move to vegas is because texas is blocking gambling in texas. the adelsons own casinos and want to turn the mavs stadium into a casino/hotel/stadium in one spot so they can reap the money. the adelsons dont care for the team or for texas, they just want to sell out and make their money.

who watches the NBA, much less pays for season tickets?????? It's an unwatchable product, with 82 games that are virtually meaningless since so many teams make the playoffs.
