That’s one of the reasons I stopped playing. At some point you have to accept reality and move on. It’s fun to do for a few years, but if you don’t see any movement or hear any chatter, it’s time to hang them up. I mean there were some perks that don’t show up on your paycheck like discounted hotel rooms where you can live if you decide not to rent an apartment, free to nearly free meals and certain restaurants, free gym membership, food paid for while on the road, you sit in a hotel room or run around town until it’s time to report to the park while everyone else is busting arse at work and most importantly, you’re getting paid to play a game. Like I said, it’s fun(minus the long arse bus rides)but at some point you have to make a grownup decision.

Kade Scivicque has been in the minors for a couple years. I think he makes a decent income with a catchers camp he does in the off season. I really hope he makes it to the show soon

$100,000 signing bonus when he was drafted. He knew what he was getting into when he signed his contract.

Do minor league players live under the assumption that they will all be major league players?

He doesn’t pay child support. Good for him.

This kid comes off as a tool. Just because you work hard doesn't mean you're entitled to more money...

frick that tool... here's his "pinned tweet".. Tyler Cyr @tycyr93 · Aug 19, 2017 Positivity is a choice, a lifestyle. It's easy to be negative & complain. Take the route less traveled, be positive w/ anything & everything ...while being negative and complaining.

And that, folks, is why you don't go play ball in the minors.

With a very small number of highly-paid exceptions, if the verb you use to describe your job is "play," you're probably not going to be making much money.

I have a close friend that's Triple A right now. Family of three. He's told us the struggle. Single/double A ball is brutal with money. Just nothing there. Just have to be educated about money, and very disciplined.

According to yo his bio he never played for MSU. Attended to Embry-Riddle University. Must be a bright guy and parents must reasonably have deep pockets.

Dude what you are doing is respectable, but mlb owes you nothing

And colleges owe players nothing more than what they've already been given too
