Ben Pickman of The Athletic has reported that LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson did not declare for the 2025 WNBA Draft before her deadline this week.

According to CBS, players must inform the WNBA of their draft decision within 48 hours after their final game.

Johnson, a junior from Savannah, Ga., averaged 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game this past season.

I know I've seen her Experian ad about a million times this NCAA tourney. I don't know how she'd get all that more exposure in the WNBA. Probably less.

I think she likes where she is at. Isn’t she dating Chris Hilton. Making plenty money from NIL and performing. I really don’t know why anyone in her situation would want to go to WNBA. She has much better options

LSU loves Flau’Jae, we just need a BIG and a better Point Guard! M.Williams, Flau’Jae, #1 Recruiting Class, but still need a BIG!!

No kidding. This wasn’t ever a real choice. NIL made college more profitable and lower risk.

If she stays for one more year she will surpass Simone as best women’s basketball player at LSU of all time

Flau'Jae + (4) 5 star freshmen and a big to be named later = Natty!

Why does people bring up NIL when a player is deciding between returning or turning pro. Flaujae has national sponsorships. She will keep those whenever she leaves LSU

I didn't think for one second she was going to the WNBA. She makes more money through NIL. The WNBA lost $40M last year despite being the most popular season terms of ratings. I assume its just a write off for the NBA owners who have WNBA teams? Otherwise, I doubt they would take a loss... just because.

She doesn’t lose her NIL if she goes pro.

Any NIL in the pros are miniscule compared to what she can draw in at LSU.

There is no NIL in the pros. They turn into endorsements.

Great news! Good mix of veteran players and the #1 signing class in the country next year. Throw in the transfer portal and We should be in great shape. That’s how you do it, coach!

NIL deals are more lucrative than WNBA contracts

She doesn’t lose her NIL if she goes pro. They just call them endorsements!

Endorsements in the pros don't compare to NIL at LSU.

NIL in WNBA is not as attractive or popular as college players. Great college players have better visibility and popularity than WNBA players.
