Kim Mulkey spoke to reporters on Thursday and provided an update on Last-Tear Poa ahead of No. 3 seed LSU's first-round matchup with No. 14 Rice in the NCAA Tournament on Friday.

Mulkey said Poa should be good to play on Friday as she practiced yesterday and will practice today.

Poa has been recovering from a concussion she suffered in the SEC Tournament two weeks ago.

Yes, it is. Here is where it is from, she is from Australia but of Polynesian ancestry.

Poa's great-grandmother died shortly before she was born, apparently shedding one last tear from her left eye. "And, I have a beauty mark just beneath my left eye in the same spot where my great-grandmother's tear fell," Poa said to The Advocate in 2023. "So I am named in her memory. It is a part of our culture."

One of my favorite players. She works so hard on the court that you just have to pull for her. So glad to hear this news.

Having her and Van Lith makes a huge difference for this teams performance. Glad she is better and playing in the NCAAT. GEAUX TIGERS!

actually a cool story. Her family’s origins are from the Solomon Islands. If you google it you’ll understand the significance of her name

Hey DipCup, show a little respect for an LSU athlete that just endured a significant brain injury sustained while she was trying to bring a win to our team and also entertain you, turd.
