Researchers found that people who do manage to carve out regular fun report feeling less stressed, more motivated, and closer to the people they love. For the growing share of adults who can’t seem to get there, that gap has real costs. On paper, fun sounds simple. In practice, it keeps losing to everything else on the calendar.

This right here is why I love living near the beach. We are blessed to be able to do a little bit of traveling each year, go to an occasional show, sporting events, frequent the movie theater, etc for a fun day…but even when finances or time were tight we could just bike to the beach for world class sunsets and completely relax for an hour.

In fact though anybody that enjoys the outdoors can probably find something in their area that is free or close to free and is fun. A park, a swimming hole, trails, scenery, etc.
Watching. Geaux Tigers
Epic and always great for a laugh.

Agree with the others you were missed dude. ESPN app is trash and not half as fun. Also terrible was the weird arab streamers on YT with ads that always appear in the middle of an inning.
Lane is definitely gonna run up the score on that arse in Oxford.

Zyn has a compartment on the bottom

Funny. I bought a can of Zyn for the first time recently since the first can of pouches I ever bought, years ago (wanted to try the cinnamon). Didn’t think to look on the bottom…I feel dumb.

But really wondering now why someone would swallow it instead of just using the compartment.

The health ministry’s new rule classifies nicotine as a “toxic substance,” citing public health risks such as addiction and bouts of “acute nicotinic syndromes,” which in some severe cases can lead to prolonged vomiting with risk of dehydration, seizures and other debilitating side effects. Chewing tobacco, medications and medical devices used to quit smoking — such as certain types of nicotine gums and inhalers — will not be subject to the ban, according to the French government. The ban, which took effect April 1, also doesn’t apply to cigarettes or vape products.

This may be the most nonsensical and hypocritical thing I’ve ever seen. Seems like there has to be going on behind the scenes, like a bribe by big tobacco. Europe is pathetic.

Just because I do Zyn doesn't mean I'm trash. If I were to be ripping on a pair of 6's in a fancy French restaurant, I would discretely dispose of them in a napkin prior to eating or tasting wine. If napkins were not available, I would do the classy thing and swallow them (which may result in some limited coughing/gagging, but again, discrete). Worst case scenario and the food unexpectedly comes out after I just popped a fresh one, I'll sneak it behind my ear and put it back in my mouth at an appropriate and bourgeois time.

Nearly every brand besides Zyn has those awesome storage compartments in the lid for the used pouches. Zyn needs to get with the program on that. Also I can’t imagine swallowing a pouch. Worst case scenario I just put it in my pocket.

I was driving through the grove a couple years ago and got called the N word with a hard ER at the end simply because I was listening to Bone Thugs n Harmony - and I'm white.

That was just Ben Mintz singing 1st of tha Month

Irritable

Yeah, I just live with it. Learned what foods usually trigger it, but also can get stomach pains & the runs completely unexpectedly. I eat pretty well, exercise alot, and am not overweight. My father and maternal grandmother have it so apparently I inherited it. 43 and planning to get a colonoscopy soon for peace of mind, but generally I just try to avoid certain foods and always know where the nearest terlit is at.
Not watching an hour long vid on Pine Bluff but I spent a few days there for work about 10 years ago and it was a dump. Seem to remember they had some kind of local effort to try to revitalize the downtown area. Guessing that never took off.

How are the Joeys and Sesh? Those On!s are crap unfortunately. Bought a roll at WaWa for $1.99 per can. Bad taste, and pouches were just too thin and flat. Gave the rest away.

Velo has been my go-to for a couple of years, but the “fullness” of the pouches is hit and miss between flavors, and even can-to-can of the same flavor. Drives me crazy but it’s the best tasting brand I’ve found.

A meal like that will have me hobbled at work the next day with the bubble guts.

Same. I have IBS and basically plan meals like this for days where I don’t have to work the following day.

People look at past teams and think the same might happen with this one, even though they aren’t related. Also, the South Carolina series gave people a false sense of confidence.

Not related but they all have Jay in common. That gave me hope for awhile of a late season turnaround. Sweeping SC didn’t move the needle for me, but I had a faint hope because the math was still there. Saw them give probably the best punch they had in them last night and it wasn’t good enough. This season was a complete mess. Looking forward to the Tigers getting back to Omaha 2027.

When I was at LSU, half of the students who chose animal science degrees to later become vets did so because they liked animals, nothing more. My friend who became a vet said they dropped like flies when they figured out what a vet actually does.

I believe it. Just recently watched our vet stick her finger up my dogs butt like it was the 20th time that day.
All I know is that the Scientology cult has taken over and ruined downtown Clearwater. It’s already like driving through a creepy movie set. Apparently now the city gov is relocating and Clearwater residents are scared the cult is going to purchase the soon to be vacated properties.

re: Thoughts on the COVID vaccines?

I worked for Progressive Insurance during Covid and they instituted a “health insurance penalty” fee if you refused the jab. It was about $100 a month deducted from my paycheck that went toward the “increased risk”
I posed toward my company provided healthcare.

I realize this was nothing compared to many out there that faced losing their job entirely, but I held a grudge against them up until the day I left the company. And for the record I would have absolutely let them fire me if they had in fact given a job or jab mandate.
