The SEC has filed a lawsuit against LSU and head coach Lane Kiffin over the Tigers’ recruitment of former professional athletes, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

“Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season,” the SEC alleges in its filing.

The lawsuit marks another major escalation in the ongoing eligibility dispute between LSU and its own conference.

Tell the entire SEC to GFY

How is this not the SEC colluding to attempt to force member schools into blackballing players who have filed suit?

Hopefully this stops all the “SEC” chanting. If it isn’t LSU, the sec can go lose them all.

Full scorched earth time. Replace the SEC logo on the field. Patches off jerseys. Pass out “frick Sankey” headbands.

Kiffin is already, in his brief tenure, bringing ignominy to our University and our athletic program. This guy is a clown and has been a clown everywhere that he has coached. Fire him for cause and start a new coaching search already. Where is the dignity?

Did they threaten to sue Bama over the basketball player who actually played a game or two or texas who had a player

What about texas, Missouri, kentucky... if yall haven't researched by now, idk what you've been following. Texas OT started this and hes a starter. We talking about back ups who never even got a preseason rep. But besides that it is NOT ONLY LSU doing it. This is wild...

Time to sue the SEC for causing such a distraction to the LSU football team before the season starts. Be cause to claim revenue loss if this team can’t make the playoffs and these distractions being a cause of it.

What good is having LSU alumni as the US Speaker of the House AND the House Majority Leader if they don’t launch an investigation into the SEC and it’s non-LSU member schools?

Just DQ all of them. Even the people supporting this know it's bullshite.

Disqualifying all of them is the only remedy.

So disqualify Chambliss and all the former European pro basketball players too right?

How do they have standing anyway? How did the recruitment of anyone actually harm them, and how can they prove the recruitment? This thing gets thrown out quick

Is Texas named as a co defendant for recruiting professional football player Cole Hutson? If not why not? Also, what exactly is a "professional football player" again? "A professional is a person who works in a paid occupation that requires specialized education, advanced training, and specific skills" - Aren't quite a few college football players now working in a paid occupation?

With all this there is no doubt that there is way more to this (Kiffin encouraging players to sue). There is no way the SEC leaders are this po’d without reason and it isn’t “fear”. I’m not so sure LSU shouldn’t just part ways at this point.

Lock in LSU fans! It’s time to rise like the nWo in 1996. To quote the Hulkster “the SEC can stick it brother!”
