Yeah it’s a flawed model, for example…
Latrell McCutchin Sr. to USC in 2022 was a 0.900 grade. With the formula 247 uses, his value to the class ranking was 0.765.
Compare to Stephiylan Green to LSU in 2026, his grade as a player is higher at 0.910. BUT due to the discounting for the larger class size, his value to the class ranking is only 0.592.

Your top recruit gets 100% of his value added, Then every recruit after that gets a discounted value. This is done to not reward teams signing large classes. But in doing so, it punishes these teams with larger classes. So Caleb Williams had 100% of his perfect score added. But USC’s low end guys who were in the 70’s don’t hurt them more than LSU’s low end guys in the 80s since their values on the low end are discounted.

Caleb Williams had a perfect grade in 2022. That’s the only year the portal had “perfect” players.

I don’t think we should ever EXPECT a ‘ship. At most, expect to be in a position to make the playoff OR for the committee to find a way to screw us out of the playoffs so they can save a spot for a 10 loss Bama team.

I live 2,500+ miles from BR, so I can only make it to one home game next season.
Here are the contenders:

Pros: Season opener energy.
2. Texas
Pros: New SEC heavyweight and a chance of watching the Manning family cry in person.

Pros: LSU v. Bama. The last annual matchup.

Nah, if they have a buyout clause in a contract that the player/new school is willing meet and they still try to trap the kid, they can f right off. This goes beyond a football rivalry.

The bill didn’t require public disclosure from what I read on it. And it wasn’t just mass shooters, it would be mandatory blood draws for a lot of accused.
