i'm tired of his BS too. he's got a new excuse after every poor showing. when it's plain to see that the head coach, oline coach, and the OC are the real problems. kelly is over his head in this conference.

Sit a few of them on the bench and next man up. See if people start waking up.

My HS baseball coach always said quickest way to a man’s head is through his arse!!
user avatar
Your HS baseball coach tried to get in his underage boys heads by entering their arse?

The offense never got going dumbass. The defense gave them field position with the INT and then Kiffin was fine with letting us run the ball in our "hurry up" offense that was ironically our longest drive of the day. Complimentary football means you don't call a TO right before half and put pressure on your defense when you know your offense isn't going to score in 30s anyway

How about the coaching take some responsibility! They could have called better schemes, put in different personnel (QB) and prepared them better ! I have backed BK but I’m really tired of his excuses.

I don’t think any qb can excel under Sloan right now

So, blaming the players for this Sloan's miserable play calling. Sloan had to be drunk to not be able to adjust to 3 man pressure.

It's not sloan. It's the run/pass/option. EXCEPT Nuss never uses the run option. That's why we don't have a running game. The offensive linemen EXPECT a pass, and when he actually does hand the ball to a running back they are pass blocking. No wonder we don't get any yardage

Oh frick off. You guys.. Complimentary football... Do your job to the best of your ability when it's called upon. And "We" didn't get enough of that.

How about, guys, it's not good enough. I didn't do good enough and as a result, we didn't put you in a position to succeed. We'll get to work for the next 6 weeks and I promise I'll give you my best I ask the same from you. Fall on the sword like leader, not pass the buck.

Ain't that what he's been saying all year? It's always...we need to coach better. Yeah, how about let's start doing that then?

Kelly is doing the best that he can. He wants to win. He did say in the presser after the game that he knows that we have to start scoring more points than the other team. So he is aware that a change is needed.

I haven't been able to watch the game again yet, but after the ex Bama QB A.J., broke down the film today...Nuss is injured. Looks like he's got some cracked ribs or something. Sumin ain't right with him!

I hope a few big time boosters get tired enough of his bs, but i can't ask that of anyone. No matter what, 50M is a lot of money to just piss away.

Even if a coach would have the integrity to say, okay, well that didn't work out, I'm not gonna hold this sword over your head...HIS AGENT AIN'T GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN.

WOW!!!!! How quick do you MFers flip on your own QB. Before the season everybody was deep up his arse, Heisman winner, 1st overall pick in the draft to leading us to a Natty. Y'all were so in love with Nuss that you wanted his younger brother over two higher rated QB's, how you feel about the younger Nuss now? Y'all have no f'ing loyalty to the program what so ever, LSU has one of the worst fan bases in football, y'all ready to dump the whole coaching staff and the QB after one loss, how about you have some fricken patients, our OL still needs to jell and Nuss needs to heal, anybody with eyes see something is wrong with him. Now if the offense looks the same after this bye, then y'all have something to bitch about until then just f'ing chill.

Hindsight is 20/20
I am wondering if the offensive line problems may be partially due to the RPO (run pass option)
I say this because the mental aspect of the linemen may be that they have lost confidence in the knowledge of when a run play is going to happen or not. RPO is a fun first option, but Nuss seems to use it as a fake the run and then throw option most of the time. So the linemen know this and don't ever really Commit to the run. This shows up in their "timid" blocking on the run.
I don't really blame them. If you run block and all of a sudden Nuss is back their passing again over and over then you get called for either being offside or blocking downfield. So now the linemen are in a pass blocking mentality even when the runner actually carries the ball
So no wonder Durham's per carry is lower than last year. All the linemen are pass blocking on a run play.
I saw Hester and Flynn refer to this on their show and I think they are right. We need to start calling actual run plays where the linemen know what is going to happen. Then maybe the linemen will start to block, and the running backs will know what is going to happen when Nuss is about to hand them the ball. The RPO doesn't give them that.
RPO was great for Daniels. But Nuss isn't that kind of QB. RPO for a guy like Nuss who isn't going to run isn't a RPO in any sense of the word

We run very few RPO’s now. We can’t run the ball period.

That starts with coaching staff better preparing this team with a better gameplan and having the ability to make adjustments series after series, that tge job of coaching staff to prepare team for any circumstance

Coach you’re the inconsistent one you hack. The playcalling sucks and the game management sucks. That’s why your team is always playing inconsistent.

If it’s not:
we are going to try d/linemen on offense to help get push, try a qb that can run the ball to help the run game, or try anything different than what has been done so that this offense can finally put up more than 2 touchdowns against a power 4 opponent, then we don’t want to hear it.
