hopefully this is a good sign of improved defensive alignment with the new coordinator

I hope he has a huge year. Missed Tackles needs to go way down. Tackle for loss, INT’s and FF/FR need to go way up this year for us to be decent season. I’m not sure where you heard that the offense will drop significantly? I’m not sure it drops at all. We have better all around backs, better OL, TE, WRs can be just as good. We need two really good WRs. Or two good WRs and a TE. With a running game, it could be very balanced. It’s the defense again that needs to improve dramatically. I think they can be better than last year on defense and still very good on offense to produce a good team.

You need to come back in reality if you think Jayden Daniels leaving by itself isn't going to significantly drop this offense. You're about to get hit by reality to know how amazing he really was for LSU. Not saying Nuss will be bad but Jayden was a generational player for LSU.

You put too much emphasis on one player.. Jayden was good, but his receivers got him the heisman also..

Nuss throwing the ints on purpose to get the D's morale up. What a great team leader.

Maybe Sage is ready to play. He was thrown to the wolves early

Know some people in football OPs and their opinion this is going to be a very long season. Not talented enough to get over the difficult schedule. Defense didn't fill holes apparently and offense is going to see a significant drop on a harder schedule.

These people are usually dead wrong tbh.

Hopefully. I think they can surprise if some young guys develop better than expected. You can take the clip above as a positive and negative. Nuss still has INT problems or Sage finally getting over the hump. Maybe both. We need the younger guys to develop and they will surprise. DL is likely going to be an issue regardless though, unfortunately. They did not address this enough even in the portal.

can he tackle in the open field. THAT is what we need him to do better on

lets just hope the changes in the defensive staff puts players in better positions to just play free. we have athletes, lets not make them overthink stuff. let them run and be athletes to some degree.
