The first few minutes of this video illustrate just how dire the situation is, not just for the gaming industry but all of the electronics/tech industry as a whole.

For me it really depends. I’ve pretty much figured out that any game I play, typically needs to be 60 hours or less to beat. Otherwise the game will start to feel like a chore to play. Unless of course the story is incredible or gameplay loop is incredibly addicting.

Also seems they cut a lot of corners in regards to facial mocap and the music. Supposedly there is only a single track while in the open world for every zone, which if true seems insane to me.
I had my hopes up that it’d be like more casual Sekiro, but as of now it seems like it’s probably worth waiting until it’s on a nice sale and gets some big updates.

I don’t disagree, but I’ll have to be the judge when I play through it with full context and everything. Ultimately the initial point of my rant is that the criticism being levied shouldn’t sound like the whiny alphabet snowflake mafia that they’re railing against. I really don’t get the pearl clutching over female characters specifically in the Halo series, which arguably is the most egalitarian series from the very beginning. Cortana herself was a girlboss who often made sarcastic or nagging comments at chief, and no one cared or said shite about that.
Cortana/Halsey, foe hammer, Miranda keys, Kat in Reach.. were these all woke girl boss characters?
In Halo 2 there was a random marine that fought alongside chief voice acted by Michelle Rodriguez :lol: and David Cross also voiced a marine but they made him a little bitch boy in comparison, but no one at the time cared and thought it was funny.
I get 343 is a dogshit studio and Xbox would be smart to put Halo in hands that actually understand the series and what fans want, but crying over a single female character for simply existing makes you just as annoying as the woke trannies that cry that there isn’t enough LGBTQ representation in every game. There is a way to critique a game and characters that isn’t just “woke girlboss bad!!!”

Two possible things could happen that would cause a decrease in prices.
1. AI bubble pops, causing a giant global recession (maybe even depression?)… but the demand for memory and silicon would collapse causing prices to plummet.
2. Manufacturing capacity increases for memory and chips. This is in progress but we won’t see the benefits for years as plants are being built. Also it’s possible that demand outpaces even with expanded capacity.
Realistically, I don’t think we will see meaningful price decreases for at least 3-4 years. Because I am of the opinion the AI “bubble” doesn’t pop, more so it slowly deflates with dominant players ascending and smaller AI businesses being bought out or folding slowly.
I have never played a single Resident Evil game.

Yes. The Halo CE campaign is iconic and 100% worth experiencing. Based on what I’ve seen it’ll have 4 player co-op and ways to adjust gameplay for more fun and replay-ability.

It really is highly dependent on the game and the resolution, texture quality, RT, Upscaling, FG etc... any combination of these can effect the VRAM usage and how the game looks and runs. The newer titles are starting to gobble RAM like crazy and utilizing features like frame gen also require more VRAM. Once the new console gen comes out, games downstream from that will be programmed with those specs in mind (but with the way the prices are for hardware the PS5 may be the targeted spec for longer than typical).

The cheaper PC locks you into a dead end Intel motherboard with not a lot of room for upgrades.
The more expensive PC also a GPU with the 16GB of VRAM which will be way better for gaming at high settings now and into the future. Any GPU with less than 12GB of VRAM means you’re mostly resigned to playing at 1080p and potentially lower settings and texture quality (depending on the game… newer titles are requiring more and more though).
