Imagine willfully voting for a woman politician in the year 2026.
I don’t care what cringe propaganda they’re trying to push. It will always be Turkey… and I will never pronounce it how they want.
Got Jedi survivor, Octopath traveler 2, and farcry 4 for under $45.

Sony just raised theirs in April, this is MS now doing the same.

This is actually the 2nd time Microsoft has raised prices. Sony will likely follow with their 2nd price increase soon.
I’d expect Sony to follow soon. Gaming in general, but especially console gaming is on life support.

I’m not a pc guy so maybe I’m stupid. But why do this instead of just plugging your gaming PC into your TV HDMI input? What’s the point here?

Realistically none. But Steam machine offers a very small form factor and HDMI CEC out of the box. Most people aren’t going to go through the trouble of installing Steam OS and all the tinkering required to get what the Steam machine will have out of the box.

Anyone knows damn well that rockstar could put there game on a disc.

1. Based on the size, it would likely take two discs for the full game before any updates/dlc.

2. Asset streaming from a modern m.2 ssd is SIGNIFICANTLY faster than from optical discs. They probably made the decision long ago that a disc experience would be severely compromised for what they were trying to do and decided to axe it.

Dude this game better be the greatest fricking game of all time because this shite is out of control. 676 gigs? That's insane

That’s just a “67” meme brother

The game will definitely be over 100gb. If it was over 200gb I wouldn’t even be shocked.

I get it. Everybody wants to hate this thing. I don't

People don’t hate the steam machine, they hate the price/value.

For the performance and storage you get on top of not getting a controller, that price should not be over $1k. Steam OS is now actually possible to install on regular desktop hardware, so it is feasible to assemble your own and get way more performance for a similar or cheaper price.
It’s cheesable with certain weapons and picto/lumina setups.

The most optimistic outlook is sometime in 2028-2029.

Sounds like you should get a Steam Deck.

PlayStation is going to require two PlayStation plus subscriptions to be able to play couch co-op for the new Halo game

What size would you recommend?

The best answer is “the most you can afford”

I’d say 1 TB realistically is the lowest you’d want to go if it’s going to be used to play a lot of modern games like Cyberpunk. It’s not uncommon now for games to take more than 100gb of storage. And if you are following proper SSD hygiene, you want to leave 20% of the drive free.

So you're saying I should add a larger SSD drive?

Yes. Depending on that motherboard you should be able to add another m.2 drive. Just be aware ssd prices are absurd now. 1 TB ssds used to be like $60… they’re $180 now.

What if he left Cyberpunk where it is, and downloaded the others that he wants on the larger drive? Would that work?

The 2 TB hard drive that is in that PC is old tech. It’s a spinning disk drive hard drive. Most modern games now don’t even support them as they are way to slow to properly play games on. Old drives like that are good for storing media like videos, photos, documents etc, but anything that requires fast performance like operating system and gaming, it needs to be an SSD.

The SSD on that build only has 256GB. If you factor in the OS it’s even less. How many other games has he installed on that drive? Cyberpunk alone would take up a significant portion of that drive.
I respect a man who bets on himself!

Any gamers here play Space Marine 2?

Was wondering if there was anybody on the gaming board playing SM2. All my friends I played with stopped playing and it would be nice to have some people to grind Absolute missions with purging disgusting xenos and traitor scum

This is such heresy to play a Halo game in 3rd person, but it’s cool they added it as a modifier to try out

New campaign trailer. The original Halo soundtrack effortlessly makes any game more badass and hype
