It’s gonna be great when a kid comes along and wants number 9 and Burrow wants to come present it to him and take a pic with him. ??

No one is bigger than LSU.

Booger said a lot of nothing. In fact, I’m not sure WTF he was trying to say other than “miscommunication”. Jayden aired not just a grievance (misguided) but went to DEFCON 1 with a the “cease and desist” BS.

He said Jayden is being "misrepresented". Not many people want to throw the family under the bus for this, and neither does Boog... but him saying that implies poor representation, which means poor decision-making, which means he thinks this is a poor decision.

It seems like most people that got to know Jayden at LSU think this is out of character for him. It's still his job to end this, though, or deal with the repercussions.

@304tiger - I agree with how you summed it up.

This was a situation of JD not having the balls to tell mommy to stand down.

What day are we in on this? If there has been a miscommunication/misrepresentation then there has been time to clear it up. LSU fans feel betrayed by JD, the country is roasting him and it seems like he doesn't care.

Meh, I get Boog trying to make a safe “misunderstanding” and “misrepresentation” statement to keep from rocking the boat, but after all is said and done, Daniels is a grown man who has access to all the PR professionals he needs to navigate his way out of this mess. He hasn’t done that, so it appears this is what he wanted. He probably just didn’t want it blowing up in his face like it did.

If I’m Daniels, I take the L, I hop a flight to BR and meet with Ausberry, Kiffin, and Pickett to be a man and bury the hatchet and “give” Pickett no. 5. Story over.

Hop a flight? Right in the middle of training camp and preseason games? Oooook.

Exactly. The fact that Jayden has not publicly refuted this story and blamed a fall guy in his camp shows this is all on him. He could fix this think is five minutes if he wanted but hasn’t because he does not give a shite about lsu just himself.

This has been brought up a few times, nobody has asked to wear 9. 1, 3, 5 and 7 are extremely popular and will be asked for all the time. I can think of no better person on the current roster than Pickett to wear the number 5

Easy, quit retiring jersey numbers. Tiger fans are going to remember the great LSU players and their contributions regardless. No need to retire them. LSU fans know who wore #9 JB, #20 Cannon, #18 Hester, #7 Peterson, #3 Faulk, #4 Alexander and #72 Dorsey. Keep on going. GEAUX TIGERS!

Shut up ypu big pos racist. Brian Kelly, Jaydens bitch, is the mf'er who promised it to a top recruit. It's nothing to do with current staff, except they are bound to uphold their promises. Jayden wasnt promised a fricking thing, neither was JB, or Cannon.
Can you imagine working your way up to the top of your profession/skill, and worrying about your employee of the month plaque still being displayed at the burger joint from college?
Why dont YOU cease and desist, Jayden? You didn't do a fricking thing here on your own, bitch
