When the final decision is made for the head coaching position, I hope and pray that we don't make a mistake of overlooking the right man for the job today, and in this moment by looking for what others say is the obvious choice. 4 years ago Brian Kelly was one of those obvious choices. Today, I am seeing the list of coaches that are "obvious choices". LSU years ago was not looking for Nick Saban as the head coach. LSU was focused on the "obvious choices" of that day. And when those "obvious choices" were falling by the side and not working out...it was a matter of luck that we ended up with a young Nick Saban. I just listened to the interim head coach (Frank Wilson) give his first press conference. I have a gut feeling about him. I am a 64 year old white male and I would run through a brick wall for Frank Wilson right now if I could. Our AD has made the mistake twice now by going for the "obvious choice" in hiring the coach at Texas A&M and Brian Kelly at LSU. Please don't make that mistake again. In 4 games from now, I believe we will already have the right man for the choice of head football coach AND he won't be the "obvious choice". He will simply be the "right choice"!
