Martin Jarmond, UCLA's Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics said, "We are excited to welcome back students, alumni and fans to the Rose Bowl and our other outside sporting events. Getting the COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged to provide the safest environment for everyone. We will continue to follow local and state health and safety protocols in order to maintain a safe environment for our fans."

UCLA will open the 2021 collegiate football season at the Rose Bowl on Aug. 28 at 12:30 pm against Hawai'i. The Bruins have a total of seven home games in 2021, including LSU (Sept. 4), Fresno State (Sept. 18), Arizona State (Oct. 2), Oregon (Oct. 23), Colorado (Nov. 13) and California (Nov. 27).

"Getting the COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged." Already addressed. Helps to read. I read that. I also know that things change fast and what is said now can be very different in August.

While this is great news, you are kidding yourself if you buy a ticket and travel to the Rose Bowl without having been vaccinated. Don't be at all surprised for an announcement weeks before the game that each attending will have to show proof of vaccination. If you truly want to attend that game in the Rose Bowl, and you don't believe in the Covid Vaccine, you may have a difficult decision to make. Now is the time to contemplate, but early July is about the latest one can act and get all accomplished timely for that game. Don't shoot the messenger, but this is a West Coast Reality.

Forgot the exact year, but Mike Archer was the Coach the last time LSU played USC in the Coliseum. On that game day the Tigers invaded the USC Coliseum in LA, me and about 8 other LSU fans/grads from Baton Rouge (Catholic High buddies) .... who were either already living (surfing) along the beaches of LA at the time; or several of us who were visiting, hanging, running amuck with said/same friends......we all definitely went to the LSU vs USC game that day. Now I KID YOU NOT....it was close, but if THERE WERE NOT MORE LSU FANS THAN USC FANS IN THE COLISEUM THAT DAY, IT SURE SEEMED LIKE IT!! For the LSU FANS WERE MANY, AND THEY FAR AND AWAY LOUNDER, MORE VISIBLE!! LSU Kicked the USC Trojan's arse - ON THE FIELD & IN THE STADIUM - in every way! USC Fans were literally coming up to meet us, wanting to play/party with us. Many were HOT BABES!! They were gobsmacked @ how much FUN we were having. Some got to learn, find out who/how much "fun" we were after the game and the following week!! In all fairness the Coliseum was not full or at capacity, and rarely is. We were told that the 70% capacity that day was a VERY GOOD turnout, due to it being LSU vs USC! LSU Fans are Legendary - Worldover!

I'm amazed that the sniveling leftist loser cowards who govern Kalifornia would allow such a thing.

Full capacity might be allowed, but it’s UCLA, it probably won’t be reached. In 2019 they averaged 49k

I'm sure it is at full capacity with the overpriced tickets. I'm sorry, but I'd rather pay my car note before purchasing a $350 ticket
