LSU head coach Les Miles addressed the media on Tuesday and said that running back Leonard Fournetted sprained his ankle during the teams scrimmage on Tuesday and is currently in a walking boot.

Miles did not say when Fournette would be able to return but suggested that it was not a serious injury.

If he needs any extra parts for his ankle mine isn't being used for anything all that important.

No shite. If it ain't arrests and fights...it's injuries. Maybe football needs to be a year round sport!

The best word NOT in his injury description is the word "high". Its not a "high ankle sprain". That is a very good thing. He should be fine and even if Guice has to beat up Wisconsin instead of Leonard, for the team its not the end of the world. I'm sure Fournette cares more about a Championship than a Heisman Trophy.

At this pace there will be a 30-for-30 on the 2016 LSU Tigers offseason title "The Greatest that Never Was II"

 at the people who don't think he needs to be in a scrimmage. You obviously don't realize the shape that your body needs to be in to absorb the hits he will absorb all year. This is just a product of a necessary risk and it will be okay.

Relax. It's just a sprain. The walking boot is a precautionary measure. He'll be ready against Wisconsin. Believe that...

As long as it's not a high ankle sprain, I think he will be okay. All the people saying they shouldn't scrimmage and just watch film need to understand they need to be in shape to absorb all the hits they will receive in games. There would be more injuries during the season if all they did was just sit in bubble wrap drinking tea in the offseason. Hope this bad luck stops though

Yea just let fournette watch film and run with a red jersey on until the season starts. Better yet why dont we just keep fournette in a bubble and only let him out on game days. Everybody needs practice.

LSU should be able to handle Wisconsin without playing Fournette

Settle down. He'll be fine. More than two weeks to get right. Plenty of time.

"Guy in my office is wearing a boot for a third degree sprain. He's a former college player, came down on a guys foot playing basketball. If he had to play in 3 weeks, he'd be out." I needed a good laugh, thank you.

we'll bouncs back from this in good fashion. he will recover fast, he's not stupid enough to further the injury. As much as he wants to play, he will have his prayers and questions answered. Buga Nation!!!

Hate to see anyone get hurt, but we don't need to rush his return...Guice can easily reload into that slot for a game or two if necessary so that both are in good shape down the stretch. If nothing else, this will push everyone else on the team to be ready to kick some arse.

Guy in my office is wearing a boot for a third degree sprain. He's a former college player, came down on a guys foot playing basketball. If he had to play in 3 weeks, he'd be out. Wearing the boot doesn't mean it's nothing. Just hope it is.

The guy in your office won't be treated the same way an elite athlete will be.
