NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah is projecting five LSU Tigers to go in the first round of his 2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0.

The 2020 NFL Draft will take place on April 23–25 in Las Vegas.
quote:

Pick 1: Joe Burrow - QB
Burrow doesn't have elite arm strength, but he checks every other box, and he's a beautiful fit in the Bengals' offense.

Pick 11: K'Lavon Chaisson - Edge
General manager Joe Douglas is desperate to upgrade the OL, but in this scenario, the run at the position has already taken place. Chaisson is an outstanding athlete and would fit smoothly into the Jets' scheme.

Pick 19: Patrick Queen - LB
The Raiders need to get faster and more dynamic on defense. Queen plays sideline to sideline, and he's outstanding in coverage.

Pick 23: Grant Delpit - S
The Patriots could look at an offensive lineman here (see: Michigan center Cesar Ruiz), but they need to add some youth and athleticism at the safety position, as well.

Pick 24: Justin Jefferson - WR
Jefferson is very precise as a route runner, and I love his toughness. He'll fit perfectly next to Michael Thomas.
Missing from Jeremiah's first-round mock draft was LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton who could likely be selected on Day 1 of the event.

Love to see JJ in NOLA.

Think about it..... for a team that “had serious defensive issues” according to some fans.... has 3 first round picks vs 2 from the greatest offensive team ever. Really says a lot. In other words... did this season have to end?!?

Jefferson would be a great fit with the Saints and he’s already had a head start learning the offense.

He would, but they won't. They'll reach for a lesser player to avoid picking a Tiger.

So the Clemson guy we torched gets picked over Fulton? Not a chance in hell

1. fulton will be the second cb off the board. 2. queen is what nfl defenses are looking for and having a hard time finding. fast 3 down lbers.

It wouldn't be a jaw dropper if Clyde got drafted at the end of the 1st round either. 6 is the record, we could legitimately have a chance to break that record. Just think of Clyde versatility, his game is absolutely perfect for the NFL. I bet you that there's at least one team that puts a ,late 1st early second round trade on him.

RB as a position has been devalued. This is a primary reason to lower expectations. However, Kansas City may look at RB, if defense does not take precedence.

CEH will not go first round. He is small. He plays like an all pro, but teams are going to have a hard time seeing past his height.

Fulton has a better shot at round 1 than Queen and Jefferson

RIGHT? I never wouldve thought queen would go first round this year.

Teams are always looking for sideline to sideline LB's that can cover and Queen is just that. The dude is going to destroy the individual drills in the combine. He has proven himself over the last few games. He just contained one of the best runningbacks in college and wouldnt give Etienne any room to roam

I hate all the emphasis they put on "arm strength" in evaluations. Overrated trait if you ask me.

"Arm strength" was the defining characteristic of both Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell.

Queen at 15? Seems like a stretch.

I have no doubts he will blow the combine away but he definetly had ups and downs during the season. Needs to learn to wrap up.

If Saints can grab Chaisson, Delpit, or Fulton you do it. We couldn’t get edge pressure on QB’s or cover. Lattimore has regressed...I doubt Delpit is there at #24 and I love JJ but Saints need to upgrade that D.

"A beautiful fit in the Bengals's offense". So wait the Bengals do have an offense?

They will when Joe arrives, but not before.

Fulton will likely make it in, no?

I will be very surprised if Patrick Queen goes in the first round. Hope he does, but it would surprise me.

Daniel Jeremiah worked in front office, he knows his shite. Now we know why queen left, dude got a higher grade then we expected. Fulton wasn't playing as bad as people were saying during the game .you know how it is with corners though, there's never a consensus on those guys, remember last year with greedy, some teams value size, some value zone coverage corners or tougher guys that can tackle good.

Wrong. Six. Add Fulton.

Look for more LSU players to move up in the draft. Freak athletes who will impress at the combine and at LSU’s pro day. Scouts eat that stuff up!!!

Where is Kristian Fulton? Did he fall out of the first round?

I think so...the Stingley effect. Fulton is the #1 on any team but LSU. Because of that teams were forced to find ways to beat him instead of just picking on someone else. Think it may have hurt him a bit

Somebody is gonna get a heck of a steal if he falls to the second.

Hard to think he will considering how many teams need a solid man to man CB and that Paulson Adebo is going back to Stanford

Just another indicator of how impressive the LSU team was this year. 5 projected first rounders, with legitimate debates for another 3 or 4 to enter the conversation.
