Former LSU WR Devonta Lee Announces Transfer Destination

Former LSU wide receiver Devonta Lee announced on Twitter Saturday that he has committed to Louisiana Tech.

The former four-star prospect from Fluker, La., entered the transfer portal two weeks ago.

He appeared in 13 games during the 2019 season, catching two passes for 27 yards. He played in eight games in 2020 but did not record any stats. This past season, Lee had nine receptions for 85 yards and 1 touchdown.

IMO he could’ve been a All Conference player here had he chose hybrid LB/Strong Safety position like Jacoby Stevens. He’s built like Jacoby Matthews who will be playing that position in college. But he wanted to catch touchdowns. If I were him ide still make the switch, best shot at salvaging a pro career.
