Former LSU running back John Emery Jr. has reportedly signed with UTSA out of the transfer portal.

Emery Jr. will reunite with former LSU running back coach Tommie Robinson, who coached him during the 2019 National Championship season when he was a freshman.

The 2025 season will be Emery Jr.'s seventh season of college football.

We saw flashes of brilliance but he never put it together here. However, he has certainly grown as a person. His courage to keep pushing for his dream is commendable.

It's crazy because as soon as he got past the grades issue and started looking promising, he had season ending injuries in back to back years.

Best of luck, JE. Break some records. Would love to see that guy somehow get a late round contract despite injury risks.

Maybe he kills it his Sr year and ends up drafted like the Carr replacement.

Maybe his last year. Emery is like a cat with nine lives. But I do hope he has a great year. He deserves it
