Agree. Hire Sam Pittman as an OL Analyst. Hire him full time at end of season.
OSU has gone home and we beat Arkansas and UCLA! You left out Louisville who just eliminated that strong RPI OSU team
Mine would be….

Go up there looking for a pitch to hit and jump on it. We seemed to so focused on running up pitch count and getting the starter out that we look at strikes and then when we get behind in the count and the pitcher has the advantage, we strike out guessing or looking.

There is a time to attempt to run up a pitch count, but we’ve seemed to lose our way and aggressiveness.

Just my thoughts!

I disagree. Don’t burn your good arm trailing.
Yes. Pitch count. Kade’s future is more important than this one game.
Glad to see Sam Dutton having success! Wish he was still a Bayou Bengal, but understand why he left.
IMO, Milazzo got a lot of close calls because his receiving.

Obviously, a lot depends on the ump too.

Hernandez body/glove positioning

Whenever Luis Hernandez positions outside, we never get the call strike. And his glove movement on close calls is herky jerky such that we never get those calls. We need Milazzo to coach the catchers on subtle catcher’s mitt moves to get the umpire calls. Just my perspective.
He has the making of an excellent closer if he could command the strike zone a little better.

The kid is a true pitcher, not a thrower. Reminds me of Greg Maddux.
Starting pitching concerns me the most. We have good talent there that is unproven though. Kade looks like he may be ready for this step. The others has some question marks this early knowing how tough the SEC is. The SEC will grind you up and spit you out if aren’t ready and tough as a $2 steak.
Pump the brakes Cowboy! It’s just game 4 of cupcakes. Let’s wait until midway of the SEC schedule before getting too hyped.

It is exciting to see the depth of the team and it could be a special year. Likely next year will be the year! But we have inexperienced starters with no proven SEC-caliber weekend arms, just potential. And we lack some experienced leadership in field.

However, our potential has huge upside if we can grow up too that potential.
