Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday and said the same starting offensive line from the Mississippi State game will start vs. New Mexico. Here's what it will look like:

LT: Will Campbell
LG: Garrett Dellinger
C: Charles Turner
RG: Miles Frazier
RT: Emery Jones

Kelly added that Anthony Bradford, Cameron Wire, and Tre’Mond Shorts will be available to rotate in. He also talked about freshmen tackles Will Campbell and Emery Jones and their play on the o-line:
quote:

"Everybody has to earn their opportunity," Kelly said. We had Will here in the spring so we got an opportunity to see him and he earned that opportunity through evaluation and live reps."

"Emery, it took a little longer because he wasn't here; he came in normal matriculation. We had to go through camp and a game or so before he earned that opportunity..."

"But these two are the best players at their positions and clearly earned their right the start at the positions their at right now."

It may take the entire 2022 season for this unit to gel, but there is some huge young talent that will be a huge strength as a unit in 2023.

Paying attention to the "little details" like the offensive line. It's been twenty years. It's about time.

As I watched, small clues left me encouraged. You could see the bond Jones and Frazier have. Even after a down play they were encouraging each other. I think Frazier was an outstanding addition and brings wisdom/player coaching ability to that line. With youth next to him, it’s critical.

And, Turner is evolving into that spicy fixture you need in an SEC line.

Yes finally a sticking line, and now they can get comfortable together. That entire line will be back next year too.

"...the positions their (sic) at right now".
Your "their" shows you're not there...yet.
