Lacy was 72 yards behind? No he was yards away going at a high rate of speed directly towards the car that was passing. That car swerved back hitting another car head on. The reason she swerved back was to avoid Lacy who was coming at her. The alleged 72 yards is misleading because of the high rate of speed Lacy was traveling. Closing speed would have decreased the distance by possibly 2/3 making the relative distance more like 25 yards (which is why she swerved). Lacy caused the accident (or at least contributed to) due to his excessive speed. Then he compounded it by leaving the scene (because he knew he was guilty). So don't give me the "Lacy was so innocent and his family needs to sue everyone" crap

Funyona was the main issue. Gold truck saw the Charger coming in hot in wrong lane. He slowed and Funyona swerved the wrong way to not ram him from behind.

It’s 3/4 of a football field. How could you cause a wreck that far away?

If a driver panics or over-reacts to another driver, how is it not the fault of the driver who panicked or over-reacted?

The other car (Lacy) was complicit in contributing to the crash. Had Lacy not been speeding towards that car, the car would have completed the pass and not hit anyone at all. Lacy may not have been totally at fault, but he was a partial contributor (hence, he was at fault). And, he left the scene of an accident

I think everyone is forgetting that it takes 2.5 seconds to travel 100 yards at 45 mph. If both cars were going 45 MPH then you have barely over a second to swerve out of the way. That video could be slowed down or many other factors that aren't being considered. Was Lacy primarily at fault, probably not. Were the charges a bit overboard, yes....probably should have been a simple reckless operation. But all these folks acting like people are out of line for thinking here are part of the problem, they were the first time, and they are now. The thing that could have been handled differently is getting the kid some help, he was obviouisly under a great deal of stress and should have never been condemmed prematurely the way he was.

He was 72 yards behind the wreck. He drove by it and around it slowly. He had absolutely nothing to do with the wreck. State police is about to get sued to oblivion.

Lacy was in illegally in oncoming traffic lane that allegedly caused the driver to panic and swerve causing the accident.

did you watch the video? Just watch it then comment.

What evidence is there he caused the wreck? I thought he was alleged to have been racing. 70 yards isn’t a lot if you’re driving 90 mph. The prosecutor should be able to easily show the evidence she had

The video literally shows I’m going slow slowly around the wreck. He wasn’t involved in the accident. You’re about as dumb as RFK the real RFK.

The argument is that lacy was illegally passing cars in his lane by driving in the incoming traffic lane. The driver saw an incoming car (lacy) panicked and swerved causing the accident.

Exactly. Lacy was at fault. And now his ambulance chasing attorney is trying to capitalize
