Breaking: Scott Woodward Is Out As LSU Athletic Director

Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports reports that LSU and AD Scott Woodward are parting ways. According to Woodward’s contract, he is owed roughly $6.4 million.

Verge Ausberry is expected to serve as the interim athletic director.

The move means that LSU currently does not have a president, athletic director, or head football coach.

#LSU now has an interim president, provost, athletic director, med school chancellor, chief administrative officer, deans (plural) and football head coach. It’s less than ideal to have basically nobody on campus empowered to make big decisions

Are we all forgetting we were calling for Woodwards head last year because the men's basketball team was so bad,and now people are saying that Woodward got a raw deal! Isn't this what we all wanted so now we can get a good football coach and a good men's basketbal!!!

Woody should have been assigned non revenue sports and fundraising he was good at those two things! Sucked at hiring FB and MBB coaches, this two sports are the money makers!

I’m a LSU alum and a Tiger fan. I may be in the minority, but I couldn’t care less about the basketball programs and never have. Really doesn’t bother me whether they are successful or not. If the sport disappeared tomorrow our society would probably be better off..
