An expected move became reality on Wednesday when four-star wide receiver Shazz Preston from St. James, LA announced that he is headed to Alabama over LSU, Georgia, and Texas.

I was a transplant. My cousin was a 4 year letterman and sr bowl participant (drafted as well). Much of my family are Bama alums from Foley/Robertsdale. I had a Bama offer……I chose LSU. Growing up in LA changes you. Hell, my bedroom had a framed movie print of The Bear with signatures of his last recruiting class!

I honestly try not to get twisted over the decisions of 17-18 year olds, but it just sucks seeing talented Louisiana kids going to that school. I get wanting to leave the state and go somewhere different but go to USC or Miami or something. I respect the hell out of Nick Saban but I can’t wait to see him retire.
