what hole numbers have these that are blind?

Holes 3, 4, 7, 12, 16 come to mind for me. For most 4 and 16 driver is too long, but more important on the approach shot than anything. Like someone else mentioned, don’t go flag hunting and stay out the native grass unless you riding around with a 4wheeler w/100gal of deet

It’s probably cheaper to do them yourself; but not much more to have EW ( few dollars per club plus grips) do them for you. There is no real money to be made in it for what it’s worth.

Wish I had time to play more, only about half the rounds I had the last two seasons due to child being born. I’ve come full circle on declaring outright war against double bogeys. Just can’t seem to put together back to back decent 9’s last couple times out.

Absolutely bringing it back too far inside is one issue. That being said; I should have clarified that I'm referring to the feeling of coming from the inside on the thru swing instead of coming over the top too much.

1. Not standing too close 2. ensuring swing path is from the inside 3. Corrected lie angle have all helped me.

As others have mentioned about coming from the inside; for me if I don’t deliberately feel that, I will 100% hit it out to the right. Having a correct lie angle to your swing/setup is something to maybe investigate. Once I got mine corrected I became more consistent with 4 thru 6iron. I usually can get away with not coming far enough inside on shorter irons.

Srixon ZX 3 wood

I added this to my bag first of this year. I went with strong 13.5* even flow riptide 6.0. On days when driver isn’t there for me this has kept my sanity through the round. The occasional mishit for me is a nasty hook that still shows up sometimes. It does sit slightly closed at address, more than I’d prefer but I’m trying an experiment soon with some lead tape on the toe to try and correct that for me. Good luck! Srixon makes some great clubs in my opinion :dude:

getting paralyzed by analysis

Paralysis by analysis is a real thing for sure. Don’t abandon a routine though. Keep your routine and deal with the outcome for each shot. Your most important shot is the next one. When I play under this mantra I’ve had my best scoring days, and actually am shocked that I was not purely focused on my golf swing, but was hell bent on dealing with the outcome of each shot as the round progressed.

zero fricking etiquette

The lack of respect and golf etiquette these days is truly mind blowing. I was fortunate enough to learn the game from others who taught me to respect others, the course, and myself out during a round. With that being said, you hit in to my group once it’s likely taken as a mistake, but more than once you aren’t getting that ball back.

For me it’s all about what gives me more confidence in the shot. I’ve had sets with a GW as part of the set, but I’ve always circled back to having my GW separate along with my wedges. I mostly use mine for 115-120 in and also chip around the greens with it. I currently keep an older 588 RTX 50deg because I learned early on with it; chipping, pitching, even awkward lies etc. as well as full shots with it. Use what is most comfortable for your swing and setup, that can change with time.
Yes it is. Auto insurance rates are equally trash.

Can't see! What gives?!

I was able to upload the picture with Imgur link idk why it isn’t showing. How does one upload photos on this board?

Here’s a few pictures of the common that’s coming in this year. This is after 1” cut.

I didn’t have that app downloaded I can see it now. That’s some good looking turf you have!
It did fine around 1.5” for a while, and I didn’t start there. It took about a month or so then I started creeping it down to around 1”. Part of my problem last year was I was over-watering to try to keep it greening up. I was mowing about once every 5-7days.

I try to mow every two days at 1”

I started reel mowing last year and got to where I was keeping the lawn around 1” to 1.5” consistently. I do use my rotary mower too, but I’ve noticed the common that is creeping in responds faster when it’s mowed shorter. I wonder if this could have played a factor as to why I’m seeing more common this season than ever? Now I want to it to take over, just need to put some things in practice to help it really take off. These warmer days certainly have woken it up to say the least. Brought HOC back down to around 1” this past week and have seen significant improvement in growth. Will try to post some pics at some point.

I’d imagine Common, minimally fertilized is the best you can do. But under fertilizing Bermuda is borderline sinful…

Is there a certain fert I should use to help push the common already in my lawn, while also starving the centipede I wish to remove? I know centipede doesn’t like a lot of nitrogen per se.
Appreciate the link, I will order a couple small bags for some overseeing and fixing bare spots. From the product description seems like it would be a great solution for me.

Get yourself some Highland Bermuda seed from Hancock seeds and overseed with it.

That’s encouraging that you have had success with that. What time of the year would be best to throw some seed down?
