LSU head coach Kim Mulkey spoke with reporters Monday and commented on the South Carolina DJ situation that involved Flau'jae Johnson.

Following Friday's loss to South Carolina, the Gamecocks DJ played a song by Johnson's late father at Colonial Life Arena.

South Carolina has since apologized to Johnson and announced a one-game suspension for the DJ.

Here's what Mulkey had to say about the situation:

Why is having a DJ at college sporting event even a thing these days? I thought this is why schools had a band?

I’ll enjoy it when Dawn Staley is no longer relevant

SC is a great team, but a low-rent program under that racist head coach.

I doubt Dawn Staley knew anything about the playlist. I do not care for Dawn because of what she said about us LSU WBB fans back in 2022, but I do not think she would pull that kind of classless deal.

LOL. She had her SC WSJ guy trying to write and release a hit piece on Kim Mulkey just last year. Short memories.

Perhaps not a directive given by Dawn, but certainly an environment that she helped to create in the program that allowed it to take place.

Yet everyone hates Mulkey, but praises Dawn Staley nationwide… If Dawn Staley was worth a $hit as a human being she would have made sure the DJ was terminated and not suspended for one game!

Dawn Staley is a vile and angry racist and she knows Mulkey is closing in on her SEC dominance, just a matter of time.

DJ played a song that her deceased father performed as a rapper/singer back before she was born and he was killed before her birth, I think it was called cut friends or something like that, just classless by DJ period

What was the song?

"one game suspension" Is the DJ like a highly recruited DJ or something? If not, couldn't they find a replacement within a day?
