Four-star wide receiver Kenny Darby has decommitted from LSU on the eve of Early Signing Day.

Darby planned to sign with the Tigers on Wednesday, but rumblings of his decommitment began to surface on the TigerDroppings Recruiting Board Tuesday around noon.

The 6’0 175-pound receiver from Bossier City, La., initially committed to the Tigers in November of 2024, choosing the Tigers over Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, & others.

Darby is rated the No. 9 player in the state and the No. 27 overall receiver in the country for 2026, according to 247 Sports.

We'll keep you updated as to where Darby ends up signing.

I wonder if he decommited with the hopes of being offered a higher NIL to recommit since we supposedly have more money to spend. There’s no way 2024 money is the same as 2025 money. Just a theory.

This is why following recruiting is so damn frustrating. Constantly changing. Non binding, etc.
