I use to really follow recruiting. I hardly pay attention anymore. Commit, decommit, respect my decision, commit yet again. Too much drama by these young kids.

When I hear “respect my decision” the first thing I do is go to full blown disrespect mode.

so this is the new thing now with recruits? commit to school to show them youre their top choice. Then decommit to get as much money out of them as possible.

Can we just not report on “verbal” commits any more.

It was always going on but now it’s out in the open, the portal has had a greater impact.

I get wanting to get paid. But, if you see no value in playing in front of 100K rabid fans at LSU instead of 30k, at most, at Miami then I’m not sure what to tell you.

I don’t even pay attention who signs anymore. Who knows where they will be after year 1.

My last post on recruits, whether commits or decommits. This is nauseating. You decommitt but still list LSU as a top choice. I'm breaking up with you, but I'm keeping your number, just in case.

NIL has changed the game forever. Frustrating as hell. He's De-committing, yet LSU is in his top 3. It's all about $$$$$, no pride. Rediculous,,,

The whole NIL is gonna cause a lot of guys to wash out early vs if they had stayed at one place and ground out 4 years of solid hard work. This bouncing around reminds me of the oilfield - you can go get some quick high dollar consulting cash but the real pay day is sticking with a good company long term.

These kids all want money nowadays. Negotiate payments beforehand and if they want to bring the entourage in for an official visit with all the benies, let them pay for it. The inmates are running the asylum now in college football. I love the game but it’s losing its luster with me.

If the fans avoid going to the games, watching them on tv, this crap will end. Quit feeding the beast .

Anyone who keeps up with recruiting other than signing day is a chump. All you're doing is feeding the madness.

Commitment means nothing anymore until they put a pen to paper then that really means nothing either
user avatar

And pen to paper means they might only stay a year with the portal.
