LSU power forward Naz Reid went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft on Thursday night. Some draft projections had Reid going late in the 2nd round.

Reid, a freshman from Asbury Park, New Jersey, averaged 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds during the 2018-19 season.

Sucks that he didn't get to hear his name. I'm glad he came to LSU and wish him the best where ever he ends up.

It’s sad, but these kids sometimes get bad advice from people. He really could have benefited by another year in school.

That three bench press hurt him. I know about the KD bench but Naz is no KD. He should have been in the gym , he knew it was coming. #workethic#

This is what is wrong with this 1 and done philosophy of today. Now this kid has no options for school or work. The NCAA needs to allow kids to return to school if this happens. This is unfortunate but these kids are also exploited by Agents who will tell these kids whatever they want to hear to get them on board with them. The entire situation is horrible.

I think they do allow it now. I’m no expert but here’s a link. LINK

Adult makes terrible decision fully knowing his stock dropped an astronomical amount and there should just be no consequences? He should just get to go right back into classes and playing at LSU? Well, someone has already filled his roster spot. What do you suggest we do with that guy? Seems like a shitty thing to do to take a completely innocent guys roster spot because someone made a terrible to decision to leave the team and enter the draft.

Lots if talent but very inconsistent. Should have stayed to hone skills. Will get offers to play in Europe so he should earn 90-95k per year for another 2-5 years. Maybe he will develop more

It really still amazes me that in this day and age this still happens. Dumb move. Should have stayed in school.

He was very bad in many BB situations, especially down low, back to the basket, making proper, under control moves, footwork and how to use a simple pivot foot he was atrocious, many low post situations. He could shoot a set shot from 3 at times and that is about it. Should have stayed 1-2 more years, then with coaching on his footwork and post moves could have netted him a top 10 pick in 2021 draft.

Greed got to him before he was ready. Enjoyed watching him play for us though

Picked up by Minnesota. Good luck to the young man!

I'm only a casual basketball observer and I could tell he was too inconsistent for the NBA. I wish him well and hope he has great success, but another year with a real developer and educator like Wade would have netted him millions. I hope young players take notice.

Yep, he needed 1 more year at LSU and maybe would've been a lottery pick in next years draft. Guess he can play overseas now.

i don’t know who was giving him advice, but not once did he look ready for the NBA. The potential was there for sure, but he might, MIGHT, have been a mid/late first rounder if he had stayed one more year.

Naz is unpolished and was not ready for the NBA. That was clear after his Frosh campaign. Wish he would have stayed for one or 2 more years and worked out the kinks...too bad.

It’s ridiculous that college basketball players can play one fricking year and then declare for the draft. frick the NBA. They need to change the rules that they should have to play at least 2 years after signing a scholarship. Complete bullshite.

Maybe he should have learned to play the post first

Unathletic, mediocre set shooter, poor hands, and plays way smaller than his size. What’s the surprise here?
