Needs to be a shake up this summer. Lots of coachable mistakes in the field and on the mound keep occurring. Talent is supposed to be coachable , either there's no Talent or the coaching is subpar, or both

If he didn't break anything in the process... the his venting is weak.

Jay knows they missed in the portal guys this year, hence his reference to recruiting. He knows he’s got to keep trying and hope they can improve. After all, he can’t fix what needs to be fixed with this team until the season is over.

LSU is just not good. JJ can say all he wants, other than a few starters, this team is weak and the concentration, defense, chemistry, and hitting is all over the place. Rebuild year. Give him the portal money he needs to get the players he needs. This year is a wash.

his long pause after he said something along the lines of "coaching them better, recruiting them better, and getting them past..........................." seemed like entitlement and NIL was on his tongue. yes, speculating, but it is an elephant in the room in a lot of instances in college sports today. you pay them to come here, they have be all on TEAM after that.

So basically he’s saying they are garbage too.

To be fair…he’s never been a defense guy. He’s always been an offense first coach…he got lucky last year on defense.
