I think you can take the "probably" out of it! He is the most hated coach and LSU is the most hated team, likely to a level of hate that has never been seen before! If you are the coach of a major college team right now, you hope that, if you lose a game on any given Saturday, LSU loses on the same day! Just look at Sark and Texas. It has been crickets on their loss at home, mind you, to Oklahoma. :rotflmao:

You hit the nail on the head! You knew his teams were going to knock your jock strap loose! He would make you hate him one game and love him the next. Like you said, he just couldn't adapt in his latter years and it cost him.

Go back and read my post. I didn't say Bama was where they once were, I said there is a great distance between where LSU is now compared to Bama and Georgia. Bama is definitely not the "Saban Era" Bama, but on a different level than LSU.

LSU has to go to get to their level. Hopefully Kiffin will get us there at some point, but for now the difference is very significant. I like Baker, but he just seems to have no answer against decent teams. As for the offense, it all starts at the LOS and we are struggling once again, with a terrible oline. Hopefully that can be remedied in the portal. You just aren't going to beat good teams with a trash oline!

I had them 8-4 before the season, so I would not be terribly disappointed, although losing the way they did last night makes it a lot tougher to stomach!

I think fans can save themselves a lot of disappointment down the road if you don't concentrate on the playoffs. This just isn't a playoff caliber team. Injuries and a grossly overrated defense have reared their ugly face and there's no getting around that.

If Taylor is healthy, this defense is going to get absolutely torched! Unfortunately, I have not seen enough from this offense against the two teams with a pulse to lead me to believe they can out score the dawgs!

The total lack of discipline and preparedness of this team is what is the most concerning to me! This is BK level crap! I really was expecting this to get fixed with Lane. Had not been the case thus far!

I would not be surprised at all. I picked them at 8-4 before the season started, so considering the injuries we’ve had already, I don’t think 7-5 would be very surprising. Doesn’t mean I consider that successful, just not surprising.
