So he is around 20 with an alcoholic beverage and a suspended license. Trashy, sure. . .but not a story

Just says it wasn't valid. Not suspended. Could have been expired or not up to date in some way.

Those are citations in Louisiana. He probably wouldn't have been arrested here and it wouldnt have been plastered on TD by Larry Leo either.

I actually thought that was promoted here. Benefits the lawyers and skyrockets LA insurance.

More details have emerged. Marijuana, a Glock, and a bottle of Hennessy cognac were involved. Sounds like the officer cut him a break. LINK

This typically happens in August according to Coach Spurrier.

so was he driving or was he the passenger?
user avatar

He was driving, but a passenger had an open container.

Well that's bullshite, if true. Tennessee allows one fewer open container than people in the car - everyone but the driver can have one.

Sounds like some bullshite charges

They've always been citation-worthy misdemeanors for my area since I was in high school. Never knew anyone to get hauled off for them. Even the valid license, if it means you are not licensed to drive, they either tow the car or let you call someone who is licensed, to drive your car home for you, and you ride as passenger. Still get cited, though. These days with laptops in police cars, you don't even need a physical driver's license card on you, as long as you are legally licensed to drive. Just give them your info - name, address, DOB - and they can usually find you on their system, with no need for a physical card.....

Just depends on the state. In Alabama, driving without a license is just a ticket but an open container can get you the bracelets.

Who knows what those charges even mean? Does an old address on your DL make it not “valid”? An open container in the passenger area? So what? 100% chance they verified that he was not impaired. And he was arrested? I really want to hate on this guy because he’s from UGA but I will withhold my mockery until more facts are available.
