Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports
The Georgia Bulldogs had a great day on Sunday by receiving commitments for three blue-chip recruits in just one day.

Five-star RB John Emery from Destrehan, LA kicked things off by committing to Georgia over LSU and Mississippi State. Then came four-star WR Makiya Tongue from Baton Rouge, LA who chose the Bulldogs over Arizona State and Texas. The final commitment of the day came from four-star LB Rian Davis from Apopka, FL.

Georgia now has a total of 16 verbal commitments for the class of 2019 and jumped up as the No. 2 class in the nation behind only Alabama.

UGA bagmen have stepped up their game for sure. Reminds me of Ole Miss a few years ago.

Yep, UGA going from top 5 classes to top 3 classes is very similar to Ole Miss going from 45th to top 5.

@atlanta917. yes, so much similarity, what with Ole Miss being an SEC stalwart for decades and hiring the long-time assistant coach of the greatest coach in NCAA history, and with the incredible in-state talent...oh wait...

I don’t get the offer to Tongue. LSU isn’t even recruiting him.

He's a 4 star recruit, LSU didn't offer for reasons unknown, but the kid isn't a slouch if he has 4 stars. LSU may have overlooked this kid.

LSU hired the wrong coach.....the Saban prodigy would have been the right move.

Davis is only 104% committed. I understand that technically, while he and Emery can only commit once, both are working toward a second commitment, which is meaningless, but still. Wow. Bad optics.

Good for Georgia i guess...they've always had the program, just needed the right coach.

Great things in store for UGA!

110% committed is impossible as one can only be 100% committed (or anything else) at the max.
